I am going to enjoy the end of price gouging/availability issues on certain items as the pandemic starts to ease.
Then you’re stuck with a teacup sized toilet that has a total of 5 flushes before you have to go to a meth infested KOA and hook up. And proceed to spend the night listening to your neighbors fuck after they polish off a bottle of crown royal for their 30th wedding anniversary.
I’d rather take that 180k and spend it on 180 nights at luxury cabins. And guess what you’ll probably be bored of the woods after 15/20.

But to add to the rant...
If you REALLY wanted an RV, my dad spent $140k on a legit house on wheels. Full size bathroom, forced air, full kitchen with real size appliances, real king bed, it even has a fucking fireplace. All built on a freightliner bus chassis, cummins diesel, and an allison transmission. He claims it gets 7-8 mpg (no worse than this sprinter) and It'll run forever, and can be self sustaining to go off the grid. it's so much like a house that My old man is seriously thinking about selling his house and living in the bus full time.
FOR LESS THAN THAT SPRINTER.

I’m trying to understand who has 180k to blow on a sprinter ... I mean that’s near GT3 money and a GT3 will not cost you 50k a year in depreciation at a minimum.
Hell a cabin in the woods probably costs less than 180k and makes more sense to own
This may be the most expensive automotive toy one can own.

Makes zero sense. I know of a few places with acreage and water with a small cabin that cost less.max225 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 05, 2021 5:41 pm I’m trying to understand who has 180k to blow on a sprinter ... I mean that’s near GT3 money and a GT3 will not cost you 50k a year in depreciation at a minimum.

The Freightliner makes the most sense to me. Real truck, not some brick fabricated by who knows. Proven diesel power An actual drag coefficient better than a brick wall.
I think that van is cool but new it should be $50k
If we’re talking parents, mine pulled the scrooge edition with a pull behind 29’ campers for $3k. It’s like a 2003 but one owner and surprisingly nice.
Still... I think a hotel is just as cheap at the end of day. I’d only do the RV thing like Chris’s dad, full time or at least 50% in retirement.

Oh I know. Obviously someone is paying $180k. Personally, I am not down. This is why I slept in a $50 tent last night[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Mar 05, 2021 11:22 pmBrand new Sprinter 4x4 goes for $60k with no artisANAL wood cabinets to be seen anywhere, math ain't workin' man.D Griff wrote: ↑Fri Mar 05, 2021 8:59 pm I think that van is cool but new it should be $50k

Man, I'd just love to have a quality low key C&C event where actual cool stuff shows up and not the gaggle of clapped out drift missiles and crowd-hunting Challenstangs.

You AT LEAST need to have a fake response for that question.
