Lack of info tells me it's a suicide, which is too bad, but otherwise

Suicide is sad in general because it could have been prevented.[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Apr 20, 2018 2:30 pmCNN told me he was an EDM person (note I do not say artist or musician).

But the guy?

I don't mind helping out, but I am not putting a weapon in my hand and getting sent to some middle eastern country to start killing people. We have way too much military. We spend way too much on it as well. So as long as I am not working with weapons, fine.

I would have been so down with this at that age. It would be a wonderful thing for the country so it'll probably never happen.[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Apr 20, 2018 3:41 pmYup. Military or national Park service or teaching kids math

So review went well. Boss bro is happy with my work and accomplishments over the past year, and was glad to know that things he envisioned me doing I already have been doing, like working with Purchasing to help make decisions on product mix and amounts to buy. Raise wasn't but I guess. Company wide is 2.5% this year but I'm getting 3%. TBH, I was hoping for 4-5, but I'm not complaining. And very glad to hear his level of happiness and trust that he feels toward me and my work.

Nice Wap. Good stuff man.
That promted me to calculate some stuff. If I get the Northrop job at a level 2, it'll be an 8% increase over where I'm at now with having just gotten that 11% raise a month ago. If they were to bring me in at a level 3, it'd be a 20% raise over what I'm currently at

And that would be if you got hired at Northrop, at either level. When do you expect to hear anything?

They're interviewing through May 1, so I imagine I'll hear by the end of that week or the week after. Hoping for the week after, and then I can plan for a start date of 6/11. I'm in Hawaii 5/25-6/4, so starting after that would be dope, cause I';d use all my PTO here, and the AS sector of Northrop starts all their employees with 40 hours of PTO on the books, so I'd already have some banked for anything that comes up.wap wrote: ↑Fri Apr 20, 2018 5:44 pmThanks!SAWCE wrote: ↑Fri Apr 20, 2018 5:33 pm Nice Wap. Thanks man, me too. I don't hate this place, but there are just so many benefits to moving to larger company like NG.wap wrote: ↑Fri Apr 20, 2018 5:57 pmSolid plan.SAWCE wrote: ↑Fri Apr 20, 2018 5:47 pm

Looking at 50mm prime lenses. There's an old version from Nikon that has great optics, but no autofocus. I've heard the newer one with AF isn't quite as sharp.. Wonder how much not having AF would bother me, or if I'd actually use a lens like that...

With your luck they’d make you a mechanic

They are absolutely not as sharp. Every last one of my photographer buddies is complaining about dis.

I'd like to grab that before Hawaii as well. I hate spending money though. Especially with all these things that I feel like I need to grab for the trip like boots and a backpack (preferally one with a hydration sleeve/bladder) for the hikes.
