Dirt was fabulous today; comfy when you smash into it too.
Nice fall this afternoon on my part. I heard someone coming up behind me so I went to check over my right shoulder and as I turned my head forward again my right hand smashed into a tree; kicked the front wheel 90 right and I go flying off out of the pedals. Landed like 2 feet away from the bike. I’ll probably feel that in the morning.
I usually don’t come out of the pedals when I fall.
Ouch! Glad you’re alright.
I rode at a new to new park in one of the neighboring towns this morning. ‘Twas really fun and a nice climbing workout at about 1200’ elevation gain in nine miles.
Haven’t touched a bike in 2 weeks now. Just so royally pissed off with the frame situation.
The idea of a budget hardtail went out the window this weekend. Ordered a Spank oozy 395+ trail wheelset, a set of 2.8 tires, a SRAM GX groupset (which I’m putting on the wife’s bike, and I’ll inherit the NX kit from her bike), and several other odds and ends.

Nice dude!
I’ll be fine, a little crash like this doesn’t bother me. Was a little exciting haha.

I rode over to Mercer and ripped a 21 mile MTB ride off. Almost had a new KOM on my practice race loop but missed my turn because it hadn't been groomed.

Frame has shipped from the UK. Delivery scheduled for Thursday.
Debating bringing in the bike stand and tool kit to work on Friday and building it up in my office during the down time. Of which, there is much.
I am certainly doing all kinds of random shit during work at the moment, mowed the grass earlier this morning.
I'd love to be doing that. Unfortunately I'm deemed essential and have to show up. We're out of work by 3 every day but Manglement wants us open to 5. I send my staff home at 3 and just wait it out until closing.

I make a lot of outbound calls. Today has started with about 8 of the same depressing conversation leading to no sales.

So, 2 hours of booze and between looking up more bike parts. Got it.

It’s been 3 days of bike research/build scenarios to the tune of 6 hours a day last week.
Had a nice ride this morning, getting a bit faster as I think this was my highest average speed to date, 15 mph over 22 miles and 1,066 feet elevation gain.... https://www.strava.com/activities/3266577829
Not all that impressive for the pros but it's fun to see progress.

You're already way faster than me. The only time I made it to 22 miles was 13.x mph, not counting taking 3 breaks, with only 400 ft elevation.
