Got myself some of the Gyeon Mohs Q2 for the Subie. Some Uber towels, clay, prep and iron remover. Too bad we're going out of town this weekend to visit family for Easter.

I've got a bunch of Adam's products. Went nuts with my first order checking some of their stuff out. I'll likely only refill a couple of things when I reorder and then try out some other brands. Right now I order their Detail spray by the gallon.
I wash the car once every 4 months or so. I wash, use an Adam's glaze to fill microscratches, then Americana Wax over that. Then detail spray to wipe it down. Basically a waterless wash.

I'm about to Cquartz my wheels when I find the time to take them off, polish out a few of the scratches and really deep clean them.

The hard part is I have nowhere to get water from. Unless I get one of those home depot water spray bottle things and a giant reserve of clean and soapy water to use. How do you wash a car without access to a hose?

I used to take the GTI through the $5 scratch and dent wash NFG, but man that really dicked up the paint after a few times. Subie paint is too thin for that, and I can't do it anyway because of the wing and side skirts.

Can you run a hose out the basement window or something?

For you, the best option would probably be a touchless wash, then get some no-rinse wash and some microfiber.

Touchless washes use more harsh chemicals that'll kill your layer of wax, but get back home and give it a wipe down with some spray sealant and you're good to go.

I have a front spigot, and a hose even. But parking is on the opposite side of the street from the house, so the hose would get run over as cars go down the block. That's assuming I even get the spot right across from the house though.

You don't have any of those self car washes near you? With the sprayer and shitty foaming brush? When I lived in my apt I had two 5 gallon buckets and I fill the one with water for rinse and the other with water/soap. I'd drive to the car wash pay the $1.50 or whatever for 3 mins of water to soak car, hand wash, another 3 mins of water to rinse car. I still do that now in the winter, I fill the buckets with warm water to help with my hands freezing.

2x 5-gal buckets with lids plus a 2 gallon garden sprayer might do the trick. 12 gallons of water.
One bucket would be for soap, one for fresh water I guess? Or maybe just reserve for the spray down to get all the soap off.
Maybe a 3rd bucket then, if I do the "correct" 2-bucket method.

Hm. Would only be like $60 in supplies for that.

The GTI got a brush wash from a local DIY place. Ill use quick detailer to keep it clean until then. NFG so long as its clean friday I dont care about the paint.

Im sure whenever I get a 15ish year old Miata I will have a fun weekend with the orbital.

There's a Sonax supplier near me, I haven't had the time but apparently I can get everything from them. I'm going to stop by and grab almost everything. Just bought a Simoniz power washer for cheap because it was opened and the box and microfiber towels are gone.

Finally got a chance to go through what I was able to salvage of my detailing supplies, I'm lacking many things, so I'l be looking to replace most of what I had.

Looking to get some microfiber towels, waffle weave, large and small. Some interior detailer, probably One7 stuff, or whatever it was called. I have some optimum interior detailer, but need a brush to try it with.
