If sporty driving is your thing bear in mind the OEM purposefully FUCKED you with these cars to upsell you to the next level up. JohnnyP gave me the inspiration for this thread.
First and foremost I nominate my own
BMW 335i M sport 225 front 255 rear
BMW 235i M sport 225 front 245 rear (dafuq) even worse than mine
BMW 135is 215 front 245 rear
BMW M3 (E46) 225 front 255 rear
BMW Z4 35is 225 front 245 rear
Audi S4 245s all around (same as a 500lb lighter golf R)
Audi S3 225s all around
Lexus RC350 F sport 235 up front
Lexus IS350 F sport 225 up front
Mercedes C43 amg 225 front 245 rear
Dodge Charger/Challenger R/T 245 all around
Chrysler 300S V8 245 all around
Ford Mustang GT base 235s all around
Alfa Giulia Quadrafuglio 245s front and 285 rear
Chevy SS 245s up front and 275 rear

you are grossly oversimplifying the tire discussion. Section width is not everything. hell, some sectionwidts very wildly from what is on the sidewall.

OEM Companies only want to spend $X on each model for tires and wheel size. It's why the aftermarket exists.
My C5 came with 245F 265R from the factory, on 1990's rubber tech.
275F/R w/ Great rubber makes it

this thread sucks.
my superpreium german camary only pulls 0.92g but there is room for 25mm bigger tires to fit so i COULD BE pulling 0.97g
buy a fucking set of wheels and tires with better tires if you want more grip.

CLA45 AMG has 235's front and back and weighs 3600 lbs, it's surprising that it can even go around a turn without blowing up.
I should probably mention that they're different sized 235's on the front vs the back, but that seems counter productive to the thread.

Feel free to add to it. Most of the models I listed have higher performing models that actually have the tire sizes that make sense.
I am thinking of it from the perspective of having had 225s in the front of my TDI and any heavier/better performing car should have proportionally wider/better tires.

Valid points, however handling prowess should be a priority in sports sedans, adding 1-3lbs per tire to gain .1gs seems like an acceptable compromise.
