Keep me in the loop, I'd love to go!
Weather's gone to shit this fall, so it'll have to be in the spring.

PDRBQ round 3 in late April.
Stellar, i hope to attend. I wonder if there's any interest in a Grand Bend DFD gathering. I could host it as an overnight. Also best after April, parks seven cars. Can't see there being more but I can work it out with neighbours.

Town to town is about 560ish miles one way for me. Google maps says just over 9 hours of driving. :notsure:

I’d probably make a weekend 3-4 day trip out of this, and visit Montreal while I’m at it, for the 3rd time

My little guy and l threw on the winter/TSI setup. Some cool air, and possibly cold rain on its way in the next two weeks... don't want to run over a class of orphans and their nun care givers traversing a crosswalk in 40 degree temps.

It was fun though, Adam now knows that you gotta clean up the wheel wells and wax the calipers when the wheels come off, what bolts, socket, pipe and ratchet are. He was also really patient and all about working as a team to get something done!

Day off today, :notbad:

Its all about the prets really, all the car bodies are the same except for the front bumpers, subtle ass side skirts and ride height. You throw 17s on it and you've instantly got a TSI with DG shocks and a bloo wrap. I'm at peace with it though. I'll probably get some mud flaps and a rear diffuser to help hide my ungodly tail pipes which will get me the IG points I need to feel good about myself.

17's are really the sweet spot, at least for a car of this size.

I'm loving the 17s. Summer tars with a little stretch to them to remove sidewall flex are probably optimal at 18" for sport. Not sure why 19s and 20s are ending up on everything in this class.

I would argue that 17's are the sweet spot for all cars.

But I really love the 15's on the Volt. The impact harshness from potholes and whatnot is so reduced, it's epic :aintcare: driving.

Looks like I have time to update...

Got some Rally Armor Crud Flaps for the Aar but only had enough time to mount the fronts today. I'm glad that I cleaned behind the wheel liner right at bottom of the front fenders. Lots of dirt build up which is the leading cause of rust on VWs. Hopefully this will limit the dirt getting in there and up the side of the doors.
