I'd like this thread to be about recent changes the Trump administration is making in the world. I have a hard time keeping up with all the news being on night shift and not talking to anyone, really.

I'll start it out with a nice New York Times article on diversity of his cabinet. It's basically the most white male cabinet since Reagan.
https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/201 ... .html?_r=0

Kind of ridiculous, and how I feel about the oil industry. It's run by old fat white men.

--------
Foreign aid cut for organizations that support abortions
US not participating in TPP
Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines OK'd
Black site prisons given green light
BUILD THAT WALL!
Extreme Vetting executive order
State Department Purge
Trump files for 2020 presidential race
Justice Dept head fired for not defending Muslim ban
LGBT worker rights remain intact

Administration re-instates the "Mexico City Rule" which makes US foreign aid illegal to organizations that support or perform abortions. It's been on again, off again for years with every party change in the White House. So not overly surprising that it happened.

US pulls out of Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). President says he would favor individual agreements with countries instead of one mass agreement, that way there is greater flexibility to deal with a bad actor so to say.

Dang. Glad I got my STI now.

Did he actually do this? I thought it was an executive order which basically makes someone look into it.

He has to break it up piece by piece and it will take a couple years, probably. He's flip-flopped on this issue so much, though. Last I read he said he would find a replacement so people aren't left without healthcare, but I'm not super confident in his promises.

Not yet, his EO was basically directing the executive branch minos/bureaucrats to pepper their angus for the repeal bill to come down the pipeline.

Because he's a compulsive liar?

I think we'll see a revision to O-care. Which honestly could be a good thing. That healthcare marketplace thing sucks.

:dat: Revision to O-care wouldn't be the worst thing. Something as massive as O-care is going to take awhile to get some major bugs worked out.

They probably used more than 140 characters so he lost interest and was on to something else.

This is going to be the shit that incites a dem revolt election in two years. He has an opportunity to do productive things and he squanders it with each instance of post election hubris. You won. Get on with your business.

I think this Diversity thing went way too far. Obamas cabinet didn't accurately represent america. Trump pulled a 180 on that..

I am also glad the media is finally getting their fair share of backlash for reporting bullshit for god knows how long... unfortunately it'll probably fair badly for us Americans in general because the god damn media is so biased in one direction or another. :disgust:

There is no true independent and truthful reporting which is scary as fk.

Such as?

Bullshit as in sensationalist unimportant stuff? Yes.

Bullshit as in lies? No.

We need MORE reporting. Especially investigative. Not less.
The trump bashing and Obama praising got old... real fast.

There is a ton of shit being reported on Russia that is just absolute bullshit. I literally had to stop watching the news right before the Sochi Olympics. Haven't really started after...

Also apparently it is ok to attack all things about the current president where as it was called "racist" or whatever before.

We need better reporting at least. Unbiased would be a :unicorn: dream, but one can hope.
