Also I have a cooler, kitchen, and spices. Am I an overlander?
If you spent 100x as much on it as a comparable camping item at wallyworld you are. I bought a $1.88 cooler that held shit cool for 24 hrs between hotels. I should have obviously gotten a portable fridge though
Yeah I can’t bring myself to buy a styrofoam landfill adder. So hopefully a homeless person gets a nice cheap cooler when I’m done. Going on day 2 same bag of ice.

The trail got nuts and I turned it around Still had 4 miles to the overlook. But meh that was good enough for me.
Forest service uses 4cyl Colorado’s. Beefy tires tho. The Jeep could totally handle it I was just worried about the damn minivan rubbers.

Fuck yeah Johnny. Nice pics.
I know I said it before, but if you get an itch to come down to San Diego you’ve got a shower, a bed, pups to cuddle, and laundry can be done.
Either way, have an awesome trip and enjoy your break from working

Halogen headlights are good. No need for upgraded ones.
Stock radio on the Sahara is good. No need to upgrade at all. Lots of bass.
7” radio is nice but the UConnect stuff hijacks the bottom strip so CarPlay screen is small. Maybe go 8”.
Power is fine.
8AT generally well behaved a nice trans. It holds a gear on a downhill so you don’t ride the brakes.
Wind noise is embarrassing given its price. I need ear plugs. Seriously my ears were ringing after 3 hours in it.
Exhausting in a crosswind.
Fun below about 60 MPH.
24 ish MPG right now which is impressive.
Fuck these minivan tires. You feel so limited by them. Get something meatier. This is stupider than KO2s on a cross trek.

You literally stated 5/7 same things as me.
MPG tho... I was in the low 20s. Apparently I am
about the wind noise as well as the cross wind situation. I also had ringing ears

This is louder than my car. I’ve never had ears ringing from a highway ride until this thing. It’s frankly unacceptable. Everyone gonna shit on me here but the 4R will get you everywhere this will, you’ll run out of balls before you run out of truk. But it rides better and is bank vault quiet.
Maybe the headliner would shut it up?
