Last week, the Robert Koch Institut (the German CDC) released over 2,500 pages documenting the meetings of the “Covid Crisis Team” between January 2020 and April 2021. They did so in response to long-running litigation by journalists at Multipolar.

This is a major revelation – a rough German equivalent of the Fauci email releases from 2021 – which takes us directly into the internal discussions of the pandemic managers throughout the 2020 lockdowns and the early stages of the vaccination campaign. You can download the minutes and agendas yourself here. They’re heavily redacted, but they provide a dismal view of the whole pandemic circus and its idiotic, hapless coordinators. It will take me weeks to finish studying them, but German Twitter has done the Lord’s work unearthing many of the more important revelations, as does this surprisingly critical ZDF article. Here I want to highlight just three points.

1. As Multipolar already reported, there is an intriguing moment in the minutes on 16 March 2020, where we read that preparations had been completed to raise the overall pandemic “risk assessment” – then at “moderate” – as soon as some redacted person (in all likelihood, the Health Minister Jens Spahn) should give the signal. This apparently happened the next day, when the RKI suddenly decided on no clear basis that Covid risk was “high.” On 16 March, you’ll remember, Neil Ferguson and his Imperial College team had just posted their notorious paper calling for rolling lockdowns. This accords with much other evidence suggesting that Covid measures were a prior political decision that required exaggerating the danger.

2. Covid risk: At multiple points, the RKI acknowledges that Covid was far less dangerous than they publicly allowed. On 16 December 2020, at the start of the second, nearly unending German lockdown, we find them discussing lockdowns in Africa, and noting that they “have consequences” that are “in part worse than the consequences of Covid itself.” On 19 March 2021, they emphasise that “Covid-19 should not be compared with influenza, because normal influenza waves kill more people, although Covid-19 is worrying for other reasons.”

3. Masking: On 30 October 2020, the RKI were positively overflowing with scepticism about the effectiveness of FFP2 or N95 respirators. They called the use of FFP2 masks a measure for healthcare professionals only, and said that without correct fit and when used by untrained personnel, the masks would “have no effect.” Mandating FFP2s for community protection was therefore “not evidence-based” because there was no reason to think they would work outside professional healthcare contexts. They even suggested the public should be made aware of this, which of course never happened. Instead, within a few months we got our first FFP2 mask mandates anyway.

There are other things here too, such as the question raised on 8 January 2021, about whether the time had come to “depart from the narrative of herd immunity via vaccination” now that vaccines were actually available; a remark on 5 March 2021 that restrictions for the unvaccinated and as-yet-uninfected were “not technically justifiable” and contrary to World Health Organisation ethical guidelines; and an extended discussion on 19 March 2021, about why no mortality-reducing effects were yet visible after 7 million of the most vulnerable Germans had been jabbed.

We were all called lunatics, hobby virologists, conspiracy theorists and worse for our doubts that Covid was all that dangerous, that lockdowns were worth it, that mask mandates made any sense, and that excluding the unvaccinated from public life was remotely justifiable. A lot of us were banned and ostracised for saying these things. The RKI release shows that our public health managers were having exactly the same discussions in private the whole time. Our politicians told us that all of this lunacy was necessary because we had to FoLlOw ThE ScIenCe. In fact the scientists were mere tools of the prior political decision to force this entire pandemic theatre upon us; they functioned merely to lend the pandemic policies about which they themselves nourished hidden doubts a pseudoscientific aura.

The worst thing is that nothing will come of this, and nothing will come of the still greater revelations likely to follow either.

The evil SOBs in Canada were smearing the heroic Dr. Kulvinder Kaur Gill, and demanding she pay $300,000 on very short notice as punishment for her criticisms of Canadian Covid policy, particularly lockdowns.

She had managed to raise about half that sum by crowdfunding, but the deadline was fast approaching and it wasn't clear what she would do.

Then Elon Musk intervened and said: we will pay the rest of your expenses.

The official statement read (remember, Twitter has been changed to the silly name X):

X is proud to help defend Dr. Kulvinder Kaur Gill against the government-supported efforts to cancel her speech.

Dr. Gill is a practicing physician in Canada, specializing in immunology and pediatrics. Because she spoke out publicly on Twitter (now X) in opposition to the Canadian and Ontario governments’ COVID lockdown efforts and vaccination mandates, she was harassed by the legacy media, censored by prior Twitter management, and subjected to investigations and disciplinary proceedings by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario that resulted in “cautions” being placed on her permanent public record. The legal battles that ensued cost Dr. Gill her life savings, and she now owes $300,000 in a court judgment due Monday.

When Elon Musk learned earlier this week about her crowdfunding campaign to pay the judgment, he pledged to help. X will now fund the rest of Dr. Gill’s campaign so that she can pay her $300,000 judgment and her legal bills. Free speech is the bedrock of democracy and a critical defense against totalitarianism in all forms. We must do whatever we can to protect it, and at X we will always fight to protect your right to speak freely.

This is very welcome news for the obvious reasons but also because the Canadian authorities surely assumed Gill would be unable to make this payment, and now she's in the clear.

None of this should have happened to her in the first place, but the attempt to destroy her utterly has failed, and that is a very good thing.

we have seen a lot of wild and shady things from “health agencies” over the last few years, but this one was really in a class by itself.

the FDA took a safe, cheap, widely (including by they themselves) approved drug used by 250 million people each year and pretended it was somehow "not for humans."

if you want to argue efficacy, then argue efficacy.

but all this "you are not a horse, you are not a cow, seriously stop it"? that has no place in public (or any) health.

this was WAY over the line into “interfering with doctor patient relationships” and “outright lying.”

and a court has recently weighed in on it.

and this was a big deal, a dispositive deal. why? because they shut off the human supply and (like they did with hydroxychloroquine) reached out to boards and agencies and barred its prescription. this is simply not done. 1000’s of drugs are used off label. it’s common as muck and generally safe and effective. it’s what doctors do. what is NOT safe or effective is to prevent this and drive people to unsafe ideas like “taking veterinary versions in dosages appropriate for a 900 pound horse.”

no one set out to do this or even would have tried apart from one thing:


the FDA choked off the supply. they put the safe drugs in safe dosages already pre packed for human consumption and removed them from reach. doctors who tried to prescribe it could lose licenses. pharmacists who filled it could lose licenses. and enforcement was rabid. suddenly, a safe, generic wonderdrug was verboten.

now, call me mr cynical paws, but one cannot help but wonder if the reason for this was less than pure.

yup. you cannot have an EMA if there is an adequate, approved alternative available. that’s quite an incentive set to gang tackle anything evincing efficacy off the shelves if you’re about to bring the most profitable pharma products in history to market at “warp speed” and your (up until very recently) commissioner scotty “show me the money” gottlieb just jumped ship for the pfizer board right in the middle of his term.

yeah. that’s a pretty astonishing and ugly incentive set for FDA and NIH alike and many of these folks (like fauci and collins) are not even required to disclose how much money they made from royalties. (could easily have been 8 figures apiece)

and this leaves me worried.

we get this as a settlement, but is anything really settled?

i have doubts.

no one is really paying any meaningful price. no one got in trouble, got accused of crimes, malpractice, or iatrocide.

and that just means there all still waiting in the wings to do it again and the grift goes on. same prison. no redemption.

More things we knew:
Paxvolid is worthless at best

Among the 1288 participants who received at least one dose of nirmatrelvir–ritonavir or placebo and had at least one postbaseline visit, the median time to sustained alleviation of all targeted Covid-19 signs or symptoms through day 28 was 12 days in the nirmatrelvir–ritonavir group and 13 days in the placebo group, a difference that was not significant (P=0.60) (Table 2). Similar results were observed in the high-risk subgroup (i.e., participants who had been vaccinated and had at least one risk factor for severe illness) and in the standard-risk subgroup (i.e., those who had no risk factors for severe illness and had never been vaccinated or had not been vaccinated within the previous 12 months).

It had zero impact statistically on the time to alleviation of symptoms. The drug was bought and did not work.

However:

In a planned subgroup analysis involving high-risk participants, hospitalization or death occurred in 3 (0.9%) in the nirmaltrelvir–ritonavir group and 7 (2.2%) in the placebo group (difference, −1.3 percentage points; 95% CI, −3.3 to 0.7).

Problem: There was only one death in total so the difference here begs the obvious question on matching of morbidities and such in the trial arms. How well was that done, given that they did find among the high-risk people a difference in hospitalization and ICU admittance? It is not logical for these results to occur when the improvement time did not vary between the high risk and not-high-risk groups.

However, it is what it is.

But the real punchline is this:

From August 25, 2021, to July 25, 2022, a total of 1296 participants underwent randomization and were included in the full analysis population (Figure 1), and 1288 received at least one dose of nirmatrelvir–ritonavir (654 participants) or placebo (634 participants) and had at least one postbaseline visit.

In other words before full approval by roughly a year the study outcome was known but hidden and not published. As you probably recall you've seen "If Covid, Paxlovid" commercials yet the study says it won't help you get better faster. Of course the government was paying for it and had been since late 2021 but again, within just a few months it was known that it didn't work and yet this was concealed.

In fact the FDA had no evidence when they made this statement:

“Today’s authorization introduces the first treatment for COVID-19 that is in the form of a pill that is taken orally — a major step forward in the fight against this global pandemic,” said Patrizia Cavazzoni, M.D., director of the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research. “This authorization provides a new tool to combat COVID-19 at a crucial time in the pandemic as new variants emerge and promises to make antiviral treatment more accessible to patients who are at high risk for progression to severe COVID-19.”

And yet just a few months later the company had in its hands evidence that there was no statistical improvement in recovery time between using it and not, yet that study was not published, the FDA was (apparently) not notified and no statement correcting the record was made by anyone.

Now here we are in 2024 and the data comes out -- after being hidden for nearly two years.

This is the world we live in folks -- plenty of money to be made and yet what you're sold doesn't have to work and nobody has a duty to tell anyone as soon as they know, via a formal study, that it doesn't. In fact the FDA went on to give full approval nearly one year after these study results were known.

Should we expect anything different given what we know happened with Remdesivir where the government continued to pay for it and hospitals continued to push it on patients even after a huge multinational study was completed and published showing it was worthless -- and using it came with the significant risk of destroying your kidney function.

I guess not.

the NIH is refusing to comply with @ZackStieber’s FOI request on the money they were paid for providing the genetic payloads for the mRNA vaxxes.

they are claiming exemption for trade secrets which is utterly ridiculous. this is about money.

the NIH was paid at least $400 million by moderna.

they seem to be owed quite a lot more including from bioNtech who also licensed the tech then licensed it to pfizer and who look to be stiffing the feds. (this all came out in an SEC filing)

so let’s recap:

NIH used taxpayer money to illegally fund gain of function on coronaviruses.

they created covid 19 then lied about it.

because they did, they also had the genetic code and a dodgy mRNA vaxx blueprint lying around

they licensed it at “warp speed” to moderna and bioNtech which is how these products got to market so quickly

they received large royalties for this and many of those royalties likely went to individual NIH staffers

those staffers do not even need to disclose what they got. there is no rule or regulation requiring it.

and now, when asked under FOIA to share the contracts, they are flatly refusing to let any sunshine whatsoever anywhere near this issue.

it’s a millimeter level map of where the treasure is buried.


these sorts of exemptions are often used to protect “trade secrets” like chemical compositions, non-patented processes, and other such competitively sensitive forms of commercial art. but this is none of that. this is about money paid to a federal agency and its employees.

it’s not classified. there is no profound business rationale for failing to disclose. this is the business of we the people created with our money, funded by grants with our money, and then paid back in royalties that went to agency and agents alike in unspecified fashion as those who made the rules and recommendations around a deeply dangerous experimental product alleged to mitigate the effects of the NIH’s previous experiment escape scrutiny.

those who made the mess were not only allowed to develop and advocate for a janky jab that made the whole thing worse, but they got buckets of cash for it. even daszak and his merry band of virology villains got shiny new sinecures and posts as “official fox to watch the henhouse.”

the “sunshine act” requires pharma sales people to disclose a ham sandwich that they bought for a doctor. yet somehow, these 9 or 10 figure dealings are simply opaque and no business of we the people?

no.

the word “egregious” seems altogether inadequate to describe this state of affairs.

if some group in syria had done this, we’d brand them a terrorist organization. we’d invade the country that sheltered them and carpet bomb them to the stone age. regimes would be overthrown. we’ve done a helluva lot more on a on a helluva lot less evidence.

but instead, this internal “rogue deep state” gets the wagons circled around it. this is not democracy. it’s not a republic. it’s not accountable government. this is plutocratic bureaucracy.

a government that does not preserve the rights of its people but rather that shields its own agents against its citizenry as they trample upon them for power and profit is no government at all. it lacks any claim to just powers. and this is intolerable.

quartering soldiers in our homes would be a speed bump compared to this.

a regulatory and security state of the size of today’s leviathan is simply incompatible with the rights of a free people. it is and always will be its own constituency.

there is no other outcome, no better or smarter or wiser people next time to “do it correctly.”

it will always be corrupt.

perhaps abolishing all these letter agencies will not entirely solve the problem.

but it’s a start.

the simple fact is that no federal agency that cannot withstand the sunshine being let in should be allowed to persist.

this seems a basic claim that should be so uncontroversial that even having to make it feels absurd.

if it’s all or mostly on the up and up, cool, sunshine will restore confidence.

and if it’s a bit dodgy and we need to cut come cancer out, then sunshine is the friend of reform.

but it seems like what people fear is that it’s so corrupt and compromised and disgusting that there is nothing left to save and that the sunlight would raze the NIH to the ground.

well, if this is so, then the sooner the better.

the case for “too awful to allow to be assessed” seems like a loser for everyone but the grifters.

it’s not going to get better by itself.
