Holy shit man I’m sorry. That must have been terrifying. Glad you are mostly intact.
It all happened so fast.

It went from "Oh shit, she's turning" to "Crap, she's not stopping" and then finally "Oh, this is going to suck." Then the impact.

Those airbags go off with the quickness.
Yep, the airbags deploying is wild. I had a similar feeling when I hit the buck in UT, it all kind of goes to slow motion, buck appeared in my peripheral, slammed on brakes, thought, he's coming out and this car isn't going from 70-0 in five meters, impact, bags exploding all around us. :yikes:

I am :excited: for the Integra

Did the doctor report back on any injuries or treatments?

Clearly she's not doing well on OnlyFans if she's only driving an HRV. :disgust:

I have to say, the Elantra is kind of dope. I filled up the tank and got 38 MPG hand calculated. The handling and comfort are quite respectable, it's super comfy and just a nice place to chill. I've weirdly gotten compliments on it from TWO people. 86 gets more but I would expect this to blend to nothing.

A few gripes:
- motor sounds like :poop:
- You have to manually select CarPlay each drive, no auto populating the screen
- SUspension is a tad econo box
- Motor is pure poverty

Good:
-New styling is way better, no fish front is nice
-Seats/interior materials/steering wheel all feel pretty darn nice
- Stereo is decent, tech is plentiful, driver aids are better than average. I'd probably rather not have 'em, but they're good
-EMPEEGEE
-Back seat space is quite plentiful, as much or more than my 328i had
-CVT isn't bad, manual shifting is quality for what it is
-Fun to drive on Pittsburgh twisties

Had a K5 (Kia equivalent to the Elantra) for a few days last year while my bumper cover was getting replaced after being rear ended, and can concur most of what you say about the Elantra. Tech was pretty nice, exterior looks better than the Elantra (obv subjective), seats comfy etc. The interior looks nice, but touch points were a bit low rent (rubber steering wheel, etc.). Though, to be fair, mine was a cheap Enterprise rental spec. One could certainly do worse when shopping for a toaster than these 2 vehicles. :like:

I’ve been beating that drum for a while now especially since the 24’s are out which look great.

Elantra N is basically the Kirkland brand Hype R. Is that tiny bit of extra performance out of the Hype R worth another $10k in price? Not really. But is the brand prestige of Type R worth it? :iono:

Brand prestige, better looking, heritage. Hype R is probably cheaper to own as it’ll depreciate $5k in five years and the Elantra $20k in that time. Still a tough call, N is a lot of car for laying down low 30s.

All the auto journalists are like ‘Elantra N is the Type R you need for the price you can afford’ and then proceed to prefer/buy/recommend the Hype R for reasons.

It definitely is. But a quick search on autotrader and the elantras seem to be holding their value pretty well.

It’s definitely a lot of car for $34k. Especially when even GTI’s are at or above $40k.

Drunk driving is legal in an Elantra N if you got there on Kirkland Signature booze. Too bad we don’t really have it in NC.
