Opened the door, walked out, walked around for to find the right spots, cleaned up, and walked back in. It was refreshing.troyguitar wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 11:32 amHow the fuck? Conspiracy theories.
That's about it.

Forehead thermometer walking in to work this morning read 93° for me unless I misheard the person checking me. It was cool out this morning and I’d been driving with my window down, but it seemed low to me. Not sure how much variance there usually is between your surface and internal temps.

I'm comfy at 45.
I see people comfy here at 95.

I’ve known people who go play in the snow in shorts and tank tops. Everyone has their own comfort zone.
When the highs start dipping below 60 you’ll usually see me with a hoodie on. The big jackets aren’t taken out unless I’ll be outside in the 30s and lower for hours at a time.

Monday was like 92, 92, 96. Then they handed me my slip and I went to my cube.[user not found] wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 12:01 pmAnd HR wonders why I'm refusing to implement temperature checks at the office.

I don't see how that's even possible. Forget comfort, humans cannot live in 45F temperatures without additional insulation and heat sources. Maybe you can walk a dog for 5 minutes, but try living in it for even 24 hours. Sleep outside with no blankets.Melon wrote:Did I say that?troyguitar wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 11:54 am So I'm just a big fucking pussy and should be able to wear shorts year round, got it.

I used to run hot, I didn't wear much of a coat all last winter. I'm down 45 lbs as of this morning from last winter, and man...I had to put on jeans and slippers this morning in 55 degree temps.

Second of all, even when was thin it never bothered me.
That being said, there is an adjustment period, and sitting on a bench at 45 is a lot different than working in the garage busting my ass in 45 degree weather.
When I'm normally making heat through caloric consumption, the lower atmospheric temps aid my cooling.
Just don't drop a wrench on your foot, shit hurts so much worse when it's cold.

Still love the cooler temps but I think shorts weather is over for me unless I'm working out or something.

Also, FWIW... I'm not going to get involved in drama on here. But I don't think censorship belongs on a forum that was created to be about nothing. I think it will ultimately drive people away and kill the forum. We are like 20 people, for every few that leave, the place will become more dead and eventually nothing.

I can filter on my own and decide what I agree/disagree with and engage in myself.

Oh man, this is so true. Working outside, I'll take below 50 degree temps all day. That's jeans and t-shirt for me and I love not being sweaty. Much over 60 and I sweat for what seems to be no reason.Melon wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 12:06 pmFirst of all, I'm fat.troyguitar wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 12:03 pm I don't see how that's even possible.
