Rinse in warm water, then dump some salt on it and scrub with just your fingers or a paper towel. Rinse again to get the salt off. Then dry it (I usually use a burner for this, makes it go quicker). Take a paper towel or something and a drop of oil and coat the thing and that's it.

Seasoning it is simple too, light coat of oil and then bake it for like 30 mins or whatever at 400. Then after a few uses it's nice and slick.

Single best thing I have to cook with in the kitchen. I hardly use any other pans.

When I'm home I pretty much only cook steaks in my cast iron. I should try other things.

Um. So I'm sitting in the luxury stall here at this hotel and some guy is muttering to himself in here. I don't know if he knows he's not alone.
