Don't the GT cars get significantly better suspension? I didn't realize that they even made a 6 cylinder GTS though, that's

A tune on a N/A motor? I know we differ on this one, but I'd keep my Poorshe stock if I was to get one. I don't trust pimple faced Tunerz that tune 20k gtis.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 3:00 pm
The Cayman GTS 4.0 seems like it might be a deal. Coming in cheaper than the $100k GT4 with only a detuned version of the motor.. With an APR or Cobb tune you would recover the difference in perf and keep the cost difference.

Depending on how the factory tune was set up, gains can be had on an NA motor.max225 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 3:03 pmA tune on a N/A motor? Ive been shopping around between c6 zr1s and 2016-2017 z06s. They are all sub $60k.

But that's your advice when people are looking for used ones.max225 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 2:28 pm https://www.prnewswire.com/news-release ... 80866.html
FCA has a mixed 2019...
RAM is up 18% but Jeep is down 5% even with the new Gladiator...
Cherokee sales went down as much as the entire gladiator delivered for them for 2019
:wrangler: is down 5% as well, which is interesting considering the money on the hood of those and the fact that it was the first time FCA started slapping "rebates" on them.
Who the FK is buying the JGC new... 240k units last year...

vs JGC big difference when it comes to resale. As a 2015/16 pulls in 60/70% MSRP and a JGC is at 40-50%Desertbreh wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 1:00 pmBut that's your advice when people are looking for used ones.max225 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 2:28 pm https://www.prnewswire.com/news-release ... 80866.html

But i guess when carmax is selling used JGC for "new" money that makes sense also. All I am saying is that SUV is pretty damn ancient... still pulling in yuge volumes. It was more a reflection of the demand on something that is a pretty ancient platform that dates back to a mercedes ML from 2 gens ago vs a Used/New debate.

Troll post or real post?
You can't even hook 650hp up through 2 tires, unless you're on slicks vs street tires or a prepped surface. Also you got about 15 years of extra development over a C5.2. Chassis balance, better styling, real paint, etc. I made a nice one for 68k. Not that far off.

I guess I'll just wait to see the c8 in person. Im laughing at how hard all the c7 values are falling. Wondering where it stops honestly. I mean, the c7z is a beast.

Take it from me, unless the conditions are perfect, the C7Z is too much for its own good. Keeping the power w/o just smoking the expensive tires is nearly impossible on most roads. More than 1/2 throttle in 1st or 2nd is pretty much going to guarantee a smoke show, or getting sideways, fast. If you're not ready for it, it will also run you off the road after it pitches the car 45 degrees at 60 MPH in second.dubshow wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 1:17 pmReal post.max225 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 1:14 pm

In the height of summer, on the right roads that car is amazing. Showing off, that car is AMAZING. Driving hard in less than perfect conditions? I think my Z51 may have been better and I'm sure that's why everyone loved the Grand Sport.
I really don't miss it one bit after moving to the rear engine 911 with 200 less HP. The car feels just as fast on the street without the constant need for attention to keep from killing yourself and not needing new $2K tires every 4,000 miles.

solid input. I think the noise is what is alluring. Oh yeah... it is glorious for 20% of the time, no question. If you can get over not having the "top dog" I think the Grand Sport is great. The Z06 and ZR1 are really unnecessary except for stats on paper.dubshow wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 1:42 pmsolid input. I think the noise is what is alluring. If the C8 gets a I will probably revert my decision of NO CHEVY, NOT AGAIN and buy one.
I see C7Z at track days and the rate at which they blow by me in the straights is amazing. For a street car the GS seems like the sweet spot to me, your feedback is just what I’d expect.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 1:37 pmTake it from me, unless the conditions are perfect, the C7Z is too much for its own good.
