Back in my 20's when I still lived in the city, I was stopped at a light facing north and some clapped out car was making a left going from west to south when I saw a small package fall out of the rear window. The car suddenly stopped in the middle of the intersection, a back door flew open, and a frantic lady ran out and picked up the package, which I now saw was an infant! It was alive because I saw it's arms moving.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Thu Apr 03, 2025 1:38 pmI used to see that all the time in Philly. If all Altima owners were killed by a Klingon death ray, the collective IQ of the United States would improve by 10%Johnny_P wrote: ↑Thu Apr 03, 2025 1:38 pmI used to see that all the time in Philly. We rented one of those the second time we went to Iceland… pretty sad vehicle, the Aygo.MexicanYarisTK wrote: ↑Wed Apr 16, 2025 5:55 pm Now that were on the subject with useless back seats, now that im in iceland, i noticed a bunch of toyota hatches that looks like this. Wasn't that 'Yota's answer to the Smart Car, and didn't Aston Martin (!) have a version of it, too?
The Aston Signet was based on the Scion IQ I think… which maybe was sold as the previous gen Aygo in other markets?

I drove the previous version … through Crimea. That thing was such a horrendous pos with a 3 cyl 1 liter motor. It couldn’t keep 50mph on a slight grade. Terrible 3rd world carD Griff wrote: ↑Wed Apr 16, 2025 7:25 pmWe rented one of those the second time we went to Iceland… pretty sad vehicle, the Aygo.MexicanYarisTK wrote: ↑Wed Apr 16, 2025 5:55 pm Now that were on the subject with useless back seats, now that im in iceland, i noticed a bunch of toyota hatches that looks like this. It really was terrible... would 100% pay for an upgrade next time. Dacia Duster is a far superior vehicle (which is not a common sentence).

"can" vs "should". I'd never want to try going that fast in one, lol. And I'd certainly never want to own one, but regardless of whether it can hit 99 mph, it should never have to if used as planned. As you said, an all-weather scooter for 2 for dense urban environments with narrow streets and limited parking.

Yea I’m with you… but imo a minimum qualification for a vehicle to be road legal is the ability to do the posted speed limit. This thing … could not or barely could and it was terrifying when an 18 wheeler can do it and you’re about to get squashed like a bugwap wrote: ↑Fri Apr 18, 2025 10:44 am"can" vs "should". I’d have thought the bright colors would deter that. My GTI was black but it didn’t get bullied much, maybe because of the xenon head lights.wap wrote: ↑Fri Apr 18, 2025 3:25 pm:notwrong;max225 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 18, 2025 11:06 am

The STI never got bullied. The Accord either. The CRV frequently gets cut off but I think it’s because nobody expects a CRV driver to a) care and 2) be able to do anything about it lol
