I love the idea of fast Audis until I drive one. They're dull as hell.
I feel like a screaming supercharger could change that. But I would agree on a turbo motor. But that’s kind of the point of fast Audis, they’re pretty fast but not really raw. Because they’re attracting the people who want a faster DD but still want it to feel like a luxury car.

Is that M2 wrapped or is that a stock color?
It was a stock color for last year, and maybe this year as well.

Here is the wall I’m hitting. If I want a fast DD that’s luxurious nothing is better for the money than an I4 50m . ICE engines are inferior for propulsion in 95% of use cases.
But they are simply not “fun” but luxury ice cars only get fun if they cost 100K+ new … which is a crime

Just buy that M2, that thing is sweet.
What is the back seat sitch in these? Like semi usable or GR86 status?
I’ve ridden in the back of an old 1 series and it was pretty passable.

Well if they 86 is useable then so is the m2 they are about the same size back there, m2 being slightly bigger and it also has a slightly bigger trunk

Carfax has a “no start” at 50miles logged. Maybe the original owner threatened to lemon it and dealer bought it back ? It’s clearly a special ordered car

That's the best idea you've had so far. Matte paint makes me a bit weary to maintain, and I'd probably prefer the normal seats. Otherwise, great spec.
If you're going ICE, get something fun like that. Don't get an auto Audi.

My cars are parked in the garage and I live in a state with little to no rain so I’m not super worried

Then you're set.
Those seats are supposed to be pretty miserable for street driving though. That would be my bigger worry.

Are they ? I had no issues when I drove a few on the track and found them to be very comfortable.
The shit part is that m2 is literally across the country from me…
Then again I bought a mini sight unseen

They separate your legs, don't they? Great for track work I guess, but I wouldn't want the crotch pincher if I had a choice. Also, when I heel toe, I rotate my right leg inward to blip the throttle. Just seems like it would annoy me in daily driving. I don't mind aggressive side bolsters, but leg separators is a bridge too far for me.

Yeah I mean if your idea of fun is hand of god acceleration and kidney smashing suspension. I can have fun in a $25k base Hyundai Elantra, I doubt I’d have a problem in an E class.

I’d imagine Porsche would let you test drive it. Go check it out! I dig the gray. I’d go for red but this still looks sharp.
Did you try out an M2 yet?

It’s unfortunately a 3 hr round trip for the civic… so if I’m driving there I’m driving with “cash in hand” and I’m not that set on the gray.
Yesterday was a bit annoying … stopped by a bmw dealer and checked out an m3. The body style is substantially better than the GC. There is much better visibility and back seat and possibly front seat space because of the shape of the roofline.

the is or si is like the zhp equivalent of the e90 era, which i can see why
The coupes were all SI or M cars.
I helped my buddy buy one in Vegas back in 2010 and helped teach him how to drive stick, no homo.
But I was never super keen on that car. It is downright claustrophobic and not that super engaging to drive. My 370z at the time was a superior vehicle in every way other than badge and rarity perspective
My uncle used to have a z4m of that gen and I essentially crawled out of that car for my linebacker height self. The camaro I rented was better in that regard minus the visibility or lack there of. Dont want to imagine as my daily.

The new s5 is

and still the slowest out of the competition. Where once the g20 came out with the m340i the power got bumped by a good amount.
Then audi wonders why their sales are tanking, probably due to design on some cars in the current lineup has the same similarity of an f30 interior and the like. Sq5 doesn't do shit for me especially when my 2.slow accord is just as fast. (Had a little moment with some cuck driving one tried to bottle neck me and got super butthurt as he did a fly by and flipping me off while almost rear ending someone that pulled out in front from a line of traffic.
Excuse my imperfect grammar.

Nardo gray and the like is pretty damn cool, its a cool NPC color. Their white kinda reminds me of my candy white

Evs ruined performance. As long as it clears 60 by 5 seconds it’s good enough IMO. But it has to sound good

Very much agreed. Even with the x drive m340i one of my budies who had one lost traction in the rain and turned 180 upon acceleration, probably for the best.
Thankfully that didn't happen to me on my turo m440i cali rental. I did remember the back kicked out a little bit when i was doing a quick u turn,

was not pleased

It's BMW "frozen" paint. Which is some kind of netherworld thing between Matte and the same gloss paint that is still on every non-Armo owned car.
I hate it, and it would be a deal killer for me but otherwise, :sweetwouldbuy:
