Dunno what else to do. Tyspeed is closer but they were nearly double and I have no idea if I can wait for them either.
At least when I eventually get midpipes, anyone can do it and it should take all of 30 minutes.

Grats breh!
Thanks! Woman is actually fine in the front. I don't think I moved it forward that much but I have it so there's about an inch or so gap between the backrest and the car seat. She's on the shorter side but definitely more comfortable in the BMW than she would've been in the Golf R. Practicality!max225 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 11:36 am

I spy all season mats which are obviously a must. Also how far do you have to move the front seat to fit the rear facing ? That was the somewhat downfall of the I4 I had because it would have to be 1/2 way up to fit. And the woman was bitching in the front
Thanks man!

Congrats bro! Glad to see you named him after me
They don’t have you waking her to feed every three hours overnight? That’s awesome. The first month they wanted us to feed every two hours during the day and every three overnight. It was brutally exhausting.D Griff wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 1:27 pmCongrats bro! Glad to see you named him after me
Adelaide was born on 12/8 so we're majorlyon the life disruption/dad life. How's sleep for you? Adelaide sleeps at night from like 10-3 and 4:30-7 typically, so it's not really bad on that front. That said, I am pretty much struggling holding everything together and miss getting to do things I liked doing.

Similar thing here, she is now having 4-5 ounces of milk per feeding. Usually like every three hours give or take by day and stretching as long as she'll allow at night. We did get some pediatrician advice to do the strictly every three hours overnight, other people said she's past her birth weight, NBD.Gberg2119 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 1:56 pmCongrats to you too!D Griff wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 1:27 pm

Sleep's been kind of rough for a while although we're finally starting to get into a rhythm. Since he's been drinking 4oz every feed the pediatrician said we can stretch feeds to about every 4 hours which is nice but sometimes he can go longer or shorter by 30 minutes. I'd like to get that 4 and a half hour stretch overnight but he seems to do that in the afternoon most often. Feedings and changes have been relatively stress free as he will let us know immediately.

The wife is pumping and we've hadmilk exclusively, haven't used formula since like day three. The pumping is kinda the worst, I feel like it would've been easier to nurse but what do I know. She is constantly complaining about how hard that is and I'm trying to be supportive and compassionate but also kinda like... I'm working, doing half the feedings and changes, most of the house work...

Also, the amount of dish washing is just insane, the entire counter areas are covered with bottles and pump parts and I'm just doing dishes for two hours a day.
Sorry I'm taking over your thread to rant![]()
Ah that’s good she’s already back over her birthweight. Hopefully you’re good to go on the not waking to feed. That certainly makes life easier.D Griff wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 2:03 pmSimilar thing here, she is now having 4-5 ounces of milk per feeding. has been trying to talk me into it. I guess I felt like it's all kind of equal work, breaking them down, loading them into a machine, etc.
We have the Baby Brezza formula Kuerigwe got on Marketplace for $50 which we used for a day
Now it's just taking up counter space. At this point I am somewhat hopeful that we just move to formula in the not too distant future, so I'm sure that'll come into play eventually.
Credit where it's due, the wife is really trying hard on the pumping thing and it is very demanding. I'm sure nursing has it's own challenges as well. It's just sort of killing two birds with one stone when she gets all stressed out that she needs to pump and feed at the same time. Easy for me to say as amale.

is right.
The wife ended up buying a specific bottle drying rack but we never use it because the washer does everything. There are zero bottle parts on the counter.
Thanks man. That's a good way of putting it.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 9:29 pm Lot of #dadlyfe in this thread. Congrats Gberg!!
If any dads in here are having a tough time and need to talk, I'm always down to call / text / video call / email or whatever. Just send a PM.
Things certainly get a bit more straightforward once you get your sleep back. Other than that, things don't necessarily get easier, the challenges just change.
