How is it any worse than Troy's 86? Or all the g35/350z/e92 that get driven around? I live in Western NY but we really don't get much snow.
Yes coilovers + front lip
I'd love a bro-forx like zil had
You can’t be serious about your question.
Much wider tires
17x8 with
snows all around
Way less ground clearance
can get enough on stock suspension
The front of the car is literally a snow plow
This wasn't even all the way up. Add some slightly taller sidewalls and it's more than enough. The roads get plowed almost constantly. My driveway would be the toughest obstacle. I'm not actually going to do all this since I already have a truck that works just fine other than the shit ride. I would like to do it and am positive I could get through an entire winter with what I've described.
There's a guy here that drives his C6Z during the winter on stock sized wheels. Even tows snowmobiles with it.

Anything is possible, but that doesn’t mean it makes any sort of sense

You could indeed easily run 225/50/17 on a

on 4x base C5 front

and be fine. ~10% wider tires than my car on a vehicle that's ~10% heavier, same pressure on the ice...

It's pretty much the same weight, tire size, and ground clearance as an average compact car plus it has a proper clutch-based LSD. Yep, sounds so reckless!
Better buy a

just to be safe. I hear that 5000+ lb vehicles turn and stop great on ice.

This is DFD if it makes sense we don't want it

If I had to drive in snow and deal with salted roads I would buy something like these and then throw it away when it finally dies.

I guess so. WTF do I know, I only lived in a shithole that got snow for one winter, Rapid City South Dakota. That was enough for me to know I like to visit the snow but not live in it.

It would be alot more fun. Remind me why you got a JCW over a Forte or even a regular mini? I never once said it would be better than my truck, but it would be more fun.

What does my car choice have to do with the fact that driving a low clearance rwd sports car in the snow is retarded ?

It's really not that low unless you lower it. Stock height with proper tires is fine.
Almost no one needs more than about 4" of ground clearance.

My air damn scraped on everything it’s not just that the overhangs are terrible as well

This wasn't even up to stock height and the bumper had plenty of clearance. I drove through 6" of snow no problem.

Why ruin a car with salted roads that is meant for dry/nice roads?
You can do anything, but people will call you out on being stupid, so get used to it.
There's a reason they make different types of hammers, otherwise we'd all just own one sledge and call it good.

You bought a car that has compromises in the name of more driving enjoyment. It's already been explained that the Corvette can easily and cheaply be made to offer the same or greater capabilities to a standard compact car, which I'm sure if I had said I was just going to get one of those and leave it on No seasons you'd have no reaction to. Just because driving a Corvette in the winter isn't the norm doesn't mean it's wrong.

They're just cars. Drive them however you enjoy driving them. Sell them when you're done.
We're not talking about priceless historic vehicles here. They are indeed tools, but the best one for the job to some of us is the one that's the most fun...

Go buy some 17's and winter tires and slap them on your car to see how it goes then? Can't be that expensive.

A

also has a lot less to rust than most cars. Plastic, fiberglass, and aluminum makes up most of the vehicle. C6Z and C7 even have an aluminum frame.
