Why is a Toyota being compared to any BMW? The competition is 370Z, Corvette, Camaro, Mustang, Miata/Fiata, and to a lesser extent Kia Stinger.

It's not a Lexus.

1. It is basically a BMW.
2. It is more expensive than a comparable M240i, which I still don't see how the supra is better than that, other than style.

And how are Toyota going to handle having an actual performance car? We've already seen how awful Honda has been with the Hype R. $20-30k markups incoming for the Supra too.

$20-$40k "market adjustments" for the first few months, I suspect.
