No planned :plac: for me this year. :(

Only thing that would change it:
- Perfect 987.2 Cayman or Boxster comes around for a killer deal
- A well done exocet pops up for sale
- 997 or 991 911 or ND2 miata prices drop like a rock

I felt a tingling sensation, wasn't sure if I was being summoned here through some off brand Ouija board or if it was my last Tinder debauchery.

Have had the itch to get into an eGolf, and then when I saw Hyundai was doing a pretty cheap lease deal for their Ioniq EV ($999 down, $79/mo) I had a 150mi radius of contacting dealers trying to find a base model and then find an idea of a true payment as Delaware has a weird use tax in regards to leasing from what I've been told. Unfortunately the only dealer that physically had a car on their lot claimed they weren't honoring Hyundai's lease deal as it was "too cheap" and the other dealers that claimed to have them in stock just wanted to upsell me into their Limited trim for an extra $100/mo.

So back to the eGolf I went, finding examples across the country trying to find a '17 SEL for the extra range (125mi compared to 85 in the 15-16) and SEL for the heated seats, LED lights, etc. Unfortunately that particular example would set me back a bit more than I was comfortable spending just to give a full BEV a try.

I was reading Vortex at some point during the day and saw a post that claimed they were able to get a cheap lease on a Bolt with zero down, so after a little bit of sleuthing I emailed the sales rep I have dealt with in the past asking to get full spread on numbers but also a number for $0 down and roll the tax/reg/fees into the monthly note as I was not putting money down on a lease.

He came back with some numbers that piqued my interest. $0 down, and including all fees/taxes/blah blah blah the monthly came to $249 for 12k miles a year and a 36 month loan. After going back and forth in my mind I realized that if I'd spend the same amount on a car that only goes 85-125 miles on a good summer day, which really means 65mi in winter I can just get a brand new car that will go 260miles on a charge.

So I drove down to Gaithersburg MD from work, took about two hours and since I had made sure everything was done prior to showing up I was maybe at the dealer for 40 min, and 30 of that was him showing me the vehicles neat features as he had leased one the week prior.

It now has about 500 miles on it and I am super impressed, quick from a stop, and I can go a few days in between charging it with my commute....which is all highway so it isn't super efficient.

$250 a month all in is pretty great for a car that doesn’t even consume gas.

My thoughts exactly. It's about the cost of gas per month for the Tahoe on my commute.

Cousin is stopping by sometime soon to wire up the 240v charger I picked up.

I am confused about something... You said 36 month "loan" you meant lease right?

That's pretty awesome. A $250/mo lease can't really be beat, especially with no gas costs.

This is a base model LT with the DC Fast Charging. No fancy features found in the Premier model with the rear view mirror actually being a screen, no heated seats or heated steering wheel. The fact that the thing has Android Auto was enough for me. 10.5" screen for the hvac/infotainment. Integrates with the myChevy app to show me how far I can make it, and has a line to show me how far I can make it AND return without charging.

I think you're our first 'Lectric guinea pig.

What does your home charge per KWH? Also real world mileage is very interesting to me.

Tahoe to MX. Mercedes MAYBE goes to college?

2020 Jeep GC Hemi Trailhawk in Velvet Red, Hood Sticker Delete
Rock Rails $995
Luxury Group $2495
Lighting Group $795
Interior Metal $795

MSRP $53,370.

Add BROla 140406 https://www.borla.com/products/wk2_gran ... 06.htmland Mopar CAI https://moparonlineparts.com/jeep-grand ... -3330.html AT DEALER so wife thinks the truck came loud. $1900ish

All that remains is the :dill: Just need to wade deep into 2020. Not exciting like ZOMG I just got a 392 Charger and rolled 15K of negative equity into it,, but I lay in wait.

I don't dislike a WK2 ... and you should be able to get 10k off that thing... still more that'd probably spend on it but if it is a "forever" car why not.

The lux pack deletes the cloth and gives you full leather (and I think HIDs).

I personally didn't want the radar cruise, pano roof, or leather. The suede seats are amazing.

At least in 2020 they made it a $795 standalone option. Biggest thing on the Trailhawk for me is the SRT seats. Love me the SRT, but AWD and just horrible, horrible fuel mileage.

On 120v/12amp it will just do 1.44kWh, which I think is like 4 miles per hour of charge, which covers the next days commute. From empty it'd take 2.5 days though I'm sure as it is a 66kWh battery. I bought a 240v/32amp charger that just needs to get wired up.

Real world mileage is all over the place, the past nice-ish days have been 3.2-3.4 miles per kWh, but I also travel at like 70mph on the highway. I try to do the one pedal driving around town to regen as much as possible but still need to work on changing my driving habits.

They are nearly the same :bruh: in terms of MPG. Both have MDS. The biggest issue is the initial price hurdle. Outside of only 10% displacement and power I don't see why it commands a 25% premium.
