I garnered a new appreciation for Ricciardo, probably my favorite driver.

Ocon has a lot of talent too. I think he’s going to be signed to Mercedes next season instead of Bottas so MB can have a veteran/champion (Lewis) and then a young prodigy (Ocon) to follow suit of Ferrari (Vettel/LeClerc)

We might try to make COTA in October again. Will see how everything goes. I love COTA but there are rarely great battles since it's a wide course.

True, but Bottas is consistent. Grosjean is not. I would argue that any team would like to have Bottas on for a few seasons as their “consistent” driver while they find and mold a prodigy.

I don’t doubt that he will be in F1 but I don’t think he will be at MB. Two older drivers is not a good strategy. If MB can afford to have one driver that wins while developing a younger one it is within the next 1-2 seasons.

I began watching the f1 series on netflix and pretty much stopped halfway on the first episode. So much living dangerously
