Sponge baths in the basement utility sink
Don't tell me you haven't had thoughts of watching him give himself a sponge bath.

I've just been showering at the office or the gym, my wife's been doing the same. Super inconvenient at first, but you get used to it pretty quickly.

We're still waiting on window coverings to be delivered and the contractor is still working on building the new linen closet in the hall, but after that it's a wrap.

Those cracks in the plaster add "character", I swear. Maybe I'll fix them someday.

Did you have drawings or renderings to view before hand?
How did you get an idea for what they were doing?

I actually did the drawings myself. Took the measurements, sketched out where I wanted everything on graph paper to scale, provided pictures of the kind of cabinets I wanted them to mimic, etc. They just worked from my plans.

We picked all of that ourselves too. Went to several tile stores to look at samples, ordered the vanities and all of the fixtures ourselves, etc. Our guys just quoted us for labor and the essential materials (framing, plumbing, drywall, electrical, etc.), basically, so it was up to us to decide how much we wanted to spend on all of the finishes. We went a little

Looks great. We are putting in a new basement bathroom. Have to break concrete to do all the plumbing. We are saving money on the floor which after seeing yours makes me nervous. Love that tile.
Ours is like 12x14 and we are looking at 20k
