You either love the seating position or hate it. I personally don't like itJohnny_P wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 1:02 pmWhy? I have no seat time in a current gen one.Huckleberry wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 12:50 pm
I did not enjoy the Tacoma that I test drove a couple years ago.

Trans issues
Squat issues
Headlight issues
Crooked dash issues
We're a fun bunch. Toyota supposedly has a "SHIT V6 that is BALLS SLOW", "FAILING REAR ENDS", "RUST FROM THE FACTORY" etc.

Oh the stock headlights are barely better than taping some mag lights to the hood.
TRS HID retrofit was the best mod I did, along with some BD Squadron LED fogs. #allthelumens

The seating position and the overall drive was not enjoyable. It wasn't terrible, but it was a big ol' bowl of "meh." The didn't make it any more enjoyable for me.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 1:02 pmWhy? I have no seat time in a current gen one.Huckleberry wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 12:50 pm

I guess the low seats never bothered me. Not any different than any car on the market. The cushions are short but otherwise they felt fine enough for me to test drive about 5 Tacoma’s.

Oh, interesting. My legs can go a little sore if the seat isn't very long.[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2020 1:03 amYeah, short cushions are a recipe for discomfort for me.
Without proper thigh support, all the pressure goes to my sit bones... and, well... RIP.
The GTI seats were actually really great but didn't have adjustment (manual ones at least) to bring the front of the seat down, so ultimately they were annoying too But that car was great on road trips, drove that thing to Blacksburg VA to visit my brother a few times and it was a non-event.
STI seats are short. I wish they were a hair longer. Would make the car more comfortable for me. But I'm good in there for a few hours at a time. I haven't exactly road tripped that car though. Farthest I've taken it was the catskills and it was ok but my right leg was getting really sore, because of the hair trigger throttle.
if it's the lowness, maybe just how short the cab is overall and how vertical everything is as a result. vehicles that are large outside, tiny inside just ain't my thang. Like, why is a Honda Fit more spacious and comfy for everyone inside the vehicle than a Tacoma?
Comfort aside though, they are nice , I like the look, simplicity, ruggedness, colors, and

You're going to tell me that riding a performance bicycle doesn't fuck you up but a seat without thigh support does?[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2020 2:45 pmI legitimately have sciatica issues that are alleviated with proper thigh support.

A good bicycle seat and an iron taint are fine for many hours. A bad car seat can cause me a lot of fatigue.max225 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2020 2:50 pmYou're going to tell me that riding a performance bicycle doesn't fuck you up but a seat without thigh support does?[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2020 2:45 pm

Has anyone driven a current gen taco ?
Also what are the differences in trim levels?
Particularly interested in the differences in the following.
TRD Offroad
TRD Sport
TRD PRO
All seem to have some sort of skits/rear lockers/crawl control yet TURD PRO is 9k more than TURD offroad.

Yep the sport is just a mild appearance package. It's a taco "m sport", the off-road is a "M xxx" model and the Pro is there full "Mx"max225 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 12:48 pmThis really helps thank you ! Trd off road is where it’s at it seems.CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 12:38 pm
