That sounds like great weather.
Oh it’s beautiful during the day. Mid 70s.. we’ll creep into the low 80s this weekend, but I imagine that’s as hot as it will get here the rest of the year. Stoked. Rainy season should start soon too.

Weird part is … same weather here. It’s been pretty normal summer so far which is weird compared to what we went through in the last 5-7 years

Good!

Well done. :like:

How was everyone’s Labor Day? Michelle worked, was an in-office day for her. I stayed home and played video games all day until it was time to go to the gym. 5/7.
Took Friday off for a 4 day weekend :megusta:
Spent most of it working in the yard on the whole patio/firepit mega project in 90+ temps and high humidity. T'was quite :sweaty: but got shit done.

Oh no, this will be my retirement project/hobby to stay active when I finally ride off into the sunset from my jerb. It may never be fully done. I'll post up a couple pics of what I did, :doe:

Fence project finally finished. Still sporting a sprained wrist from the debacle of digging 24 post holes 42" deep for a 36" high fence.

Various landscaping bits that are still a work in progess:

Not shown is the taking down of an old 42 ft section of chain link fence that really opens up the now fenced in yard so nice. Yuuge improvement there.

Leaving for Prague a week from today ( :megusta: ) so not much will happen until later this month when I'll be ordering a couple tons of crushed stone and gravel to fill in those areas where you now see landscape fabric. Then I'm shutting down the project until next spring. Gonna be firepit season soon. :excited:

More projects in store next year, too.

First piece of artwork hung up in the house.. michelle has a few things like her diplomas up in her office, but other than that the walls are bare.. until now.

Soundwave print of Bright Eye’s First Day Of My Life. Thought it was cool when it was released and showed her. A week or two later it showed up and she surprised me by ordering it for me. Got the canvas stretched and framed and that finally came back today so got it hung up.

Made sure to have the tape measure and level out 🫡

I would have hung it a little higher if it was purely up to me, but Michelle liked it there and it does look nice at that height.

This would be production TIG welding like I do now inside a shop with A/C, but 20% bump in base pay plus a full suite of bennies.

Damn. Sounds solid. Hope you get it. They have any initial feedback about your weld test?

They were very happy with them which is nice because I haven't welded anything but aluminum in over 2 years.

My high school offered a welding class. Wish I had taken it. We actually had some decent elective options for being a small school. I took woodshop, CAD, and mechanical drawing among other more routine ones like home ec., theater, etc.

Went to welding school after dropping out of college. I worked 11pm-7:30am and then had school from 12pm-5pm.
