Started working on the paint work on the

sanded down the bondo spots I put in last weekend and washed the car. It took forever as it's filthy from sitting for two months through pollen season plus wasn't washed after the track last, so lots of time with some Tarminator on the tire marks all over the car (which works great).
Man, the paint on this thing is pretty fucked.
DOn't take your car to a track ever if you care about Zillspec.
Yep actually using the car always destroys it :-/ there is something to be said for a "no rain, no track, always garaged" car...

Nah, I was just virtual tire kicking. I need to hold onto cash right now because who knows what the hell is coming.
Rebuilding your calipers made me miss having a car project...but I think I like the project more than owning the car itself.
I certainly enjoy the build more than the long term ownership.
Great that I'm getting to build the MINI twice.
How deep are you in the mini ? You keeping tabs ?

I pressed pause for a bit as it got cold here again and I don’t have any interest in freezing in the garage.
I’ve got the following things left:
- Install new driving light brackets
- Fix driving light wiring (waiting on weatherpack pigtails from 4zilch)
- Redo the headliner
- Reinstall the back interior
- Full detail inside and out
- Install new headlights and taillights
- Install new tires and wheels
Plus I picked up mowing/landscaping with a friend of mine for cash money.
Awesome for the side hustle !
Did mini make led/hid lights for the R gen ?

I know a guy here in CLT who bought one for $25K last year... It was less than 30K miles, super clean, and from a

but still... that is too much

, it looks way better.
It's still a great 10 footer and the interior is nice at least. I guess I'll just drive it into the ground as planned.

There are areas, mostly behind the wheels with a million little chips, they’re from race track debris.
It looks shiny and nice not up close:

Alright y'all... I need help.
I cannot get pressure in my brake system.
I have bled it at the master cylinder, bled it at all four corners a ton, like 1.5 liters of fluid through the system. I don't see any leakage at the master cylinder and it all worked fine before draining all of the fluid out of the calipers. Could there be air in the ABS system? I'm not even sure how to get that out, the brakes don't do enough to get ABS to activate I don't think.

No leaking anywhere? Did you start the car to build vacuum? Did you let the master run dry while pumping the pedal? Zero air in the lines or is there still some bubbles?
The only way air would get in the ABS system is if you let the master go completely dry while pumping the pedal.
IIRC, it took a ton of bleeding on my car after rebuilding the calipers to get all the air out.
