Was probably a fake rating to begin with. Trucks are notoriously over rated at the momentHuckleberry wrote: ↑Sun Dec 09, 2018 6:23 pm These 2019 Silverados just get better and better. Now it's ugly and inefficient.

I know a service advisor at Barlow chevy and from what he was telling me you made the right decision pulling the plug on the Colorado[user not found] wrote: ↑Sun Dec 09, 2018 7:50 pmThis just in: Transmission shudder being programmed in to boost efficiency.Huckleberry wrote: ↑Sun Dec 09, 2018 6:23 pm These 2019 Silverados just get better and better. The "fix" for the transmission isn't a fix and GM knows it. They'll do that "fix" 2-3 times before replacing the entire transmission, but every Colorado that had that issue even once will get a new tranny.

Same. Mine has had zero issues.

I'm sure it's luck of the draw but he seemed to think the TC issue was widespread. Either way hopefully you guys don't run into it.
The leaking rear diff on the taco was widespread but I never encountered it. That said I'm a little over how a lot of people shit all over the taco while I owned it and thinking the Colorado was the pinnacle of mid size truck engineering

Same here..
But I was thinking about it this morning... I run 100% of the time with the transmission in Off-Road mode, so maybe that's why I don't feel these transmission issues... ? I don't care for the shift RPMs in the normal mode, so I keep hitting the button when I get in the truck.

It's all relative. I'll tell anyone in the world that makes less than $250k/yr to run away from a Porsche.dtraill27 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 10, 2018 8:18 amI know a service advisor at Barlow chevy and from what he was telling me you made the right decision pulling the plug on the Colorado[user not found] wrote: ↑Sun Dec 09, 2018 7:50 pm

How is that bad advice ? Pretty much what it takes to buy an entry level cayman. At 911 levels you better be at 300k+fledonfoot wrote: ↑Mon Dec 10, 2018 11:19 amIt's all relative. I'll tell anyone in the world that makes less than $250k/yr to run away from a Porsche.

The service and parts costs are astronomical, even at good indy shops. IF something fails, it's going to cost A LOT. I charge $185/hr and that's fairly low for a metro area. Many indy shops around me are 150-160.troyguitar wrote: ↑Mon Dec 10, 2018 11:55 amI thought they're reliable now?fledonfoot wrote: ↑Mon Dec 10, 2018 11:19 am

I'm realistic enough to know that these trucks aren't perfect and are gonna have problems. And I think it's really odd the Zil had all those problems with his out of all the owners on here, but I guess it's statistically bound to happen.
Drove a 2018 Ram today and a then a 2018 GC. I think I'm getting sucked into the American way of thinking because I felt downright cramped in the GC after driving the Ram.
The enormous middle consoles in full sized trucks are pretty nice.
