Seriously, that's way more snow than we've gotten in Traverse City. :mindblown:

We've had probably around 30" so far. :notbad:

Last year we only 2 snowfalls big enough for me to use the snow blower. This year I've run it I think 5 times so far, and that was even with a very mild December. :mindblown:

I'd be surprised if we've had more than 20 cumulative, there's barely 4 inches or so on the ground right now.

We must have around 18" on the ground here now.

I'm considering an ARC for MX. How does it sound?
Fantastic...it's the best sounding sound bar I've ever heard, and if you're already into the Sonos ecosystem, then it's the way to go. Save $50 by buying the Arc SL at Costco...same speaker, just missing the microphone for voice assistants :whocares:

One thing though...

It really needs a sub. It's clear that it was designed to clearly and accurately play mid-to-high notes, but it's lacking bass...especially compared to the Beam. That makes the $750 soundbar really ~$1,500 with the sub, but you will not find a better sounding setup IMO. I replaced a dedicated home theater setup (BIC America towers, Klipsch center, 12" sub, Yamaha receiver) with the Arc/Sub and don't miss the HT setup at all, especially with ease of setup and appearance. Most impressive with the Arc is the immersive sound...you can be anywhere in the room and it sounds fantastic and can get LOUD if desired.

If you just want one thing and perfect clear accurate sound isn't the #1 priority, just buy a Beam. That thing has a surprising amount of bass and has a much more balanced sound by itself. We have a Beam in our bedroom and really really like it.
Most of the competition in that segment comes as a package with a sub. There is a certain amount of physics that just can't be overcome, in order to product large wavelengths (low frequencies) a lot of air must be moved, and a thin sound bar won't cut it. Add in a sub and you can get something that is pretty solid.

I don't really care all that much about home AV which is ironic as I work for a company that does that... but my wife is kind of the opposite of what was mentioned, she is :triggered: by anything that is in the house that doesn't "look good" to her. That said, she doesn't really GAF about the car thing so I will take it. She never once made a comment about the Corvette being on jack stands for four months last year in the carport, all the while, I had two vehicles. I personally don't prefer owning multiple vehicles as I don't have a garage and keeping up with three cars is a lot when they mostly sit outside, but in the event that all of that changes, I don't think :tits: will care. The minute I suggest in-ceiling speakers or something though, she gets all :nope:

I missed, this, thanks. That's fine on the sub this is for a condo environment I don't need the boom boom transmitted through the floor. There are pros and cons to condo ownership. Pros are self evident, pull in, open the door, open the slider, grab a beer. No lawn, no shit to worry about. Con is you can't be Rockin' like Don Dokken, including with movie soundtracks.

Then you may want to pass on the Arc...I don't think it sounds that great without the sub. A Beam by itself is better than an Arc by itself IMO and cheaper to boot!

Somehow, the Sonos Beam has :impressive: bass for what it is. It must have larger drivers (though fewer overall) in it or something.

I could never go back to sharing walls with other people. I don't want to be quiet, and neither do they. Not how I want to spend my time, but houses absolutely come with more work/maintenance requirements. Worth it to me, but not for everyone.

We basically have snow in the forecast from Thursday through Sunday, with a break on Monday, and then more snow Tuesday through Thursday. This winter is definitely making up for last winter.

I'll present a small counter point here. I decided to go :fullretard: and get the Arc + Sub for my bedroom because YOLO right? However I also have a JBL system in my living room.

https://www.amazon.com/JBL-Theater-Soun ... cs&sr=1-15

This costs $379 on cramazon... about 1/4 of the BRONOS OMG BEST THING EVER sound... And I would say it is about 80% as good.
For the money I don't see how you can go wrong. Obviously can't flex on your friends with the Hyundai of speakers compared to the all mighty 911/Sonos.

Also does anyone with toyota experience (Fled seems MIA) know what the first 5k mile service entails (It's free). According to some it includes an OIL CHANGE. Others state that it is only a tire rotation at 5k... my Toyota app states it does include oil changes, but some on the forum are saying it doesn't if it has a synthetic fill, which it does.

:fullretard: why is this so hard.

This is probably the smartest way to go IF you're not already into Sonos or just looking for a one off thing. Might actually work really well for Eric in MX. We've got Sonos speakers in almost every room, which kind of ties us into more Sonos things.

I am addicted to WiFi streaming music, and can't go back to bluetooth or whatever. I've tried Google WiFi speakers and they were glitchy AF...Sonos just works all the time. I love it.
