$29k for what, maybe 40 hours of "work" on the car? I don't know about you, but that is pretty nice to me.
So you're assuming the car would have been worth 0 dollars if he didn't? That's epic math.
A CEL-infested used VW is not worth very much, but sure. Maybe he only effectively got $15k for his troubles. Still a fantastic deal for any of us peasants.
Yeah he got to drive a goRf for a few years almost for free, and now has a new one financed for what $12k? That's what Max's mini will be worth by this time next week.

She's on the record as saying it's stupid having a car she can't drive. What if she had to drive it for some reason.

Bold move.
I think it's a key play prior to going into the marriage thing. Precedents need to be set, when I got the Kamry, going auto so she could drive it was not even a discussion and I don't think it ever will be. If she "needs to drive it sometimes" than she will figure it the fuck out, 80 year old women do it in every other country of the world.

I'm sorry, I thought this was America.

Yes it's a cool car. But prepare the lube/sawdust.

If it's on the dealership level, call VWoA and give them shit. Lots of shit. That you've given the brand another chance and now end up paying for two cars, one of which you've signed over to them... Get it in writing and demand interest.

She said they can't wire funds to outside banks.

Sounds like you can't either... did you sign the car over to them?
I signed it over before the same day I did the dill on the alpo gorf. They probably sent it to the farm upstate. I google the VIN occasionally to see if it pops up on autotrader but no luck yet. My SA said it was going to go straight to manheim so who knows where it is now.

This is coming from the dealership or VWoA?

If you have the car signed over it isn’t a problem anymore.

It is when the bank hasn’t been paid. The loan is still in his name. Shady dealers do this and ruin people’s credit on the regular.
