Probably what I'll do... paying 2X insurance is annoying but
The front

on the Beemah are pretty well worn out. I think once the world settles down I'll replace, maybe I'll look into a square setup or something.
Your 2x car insurance with a multi-car discount may be cheaper than insuring a Lotus or Porsche
I doubt it, I bet they have

style rates. I'd wager that a WRX has higher insurance rates than a 911. Who knows though. In the short term I would be happy to just have the

, but it's difficult to justify offing the Beemah for low teens when it is still more or less a brand new car with only 31K miles.

Evora would be more expensive than a 911 IMO just because they are probably more rare/less on the road/parts harder to find

For some positive news, my DRM Bilsteins shipped on Thursday! It looks like the car will end up back together in the next couple of weeks, which is exciting.

Well, evidently I'm now officially upside down on the Beemah, Carvana offer comes in at $13K, I owe $14K...
I think if this car is truly only worth $13-15K then I may as well just ride it out to 100K miles, which will be 10 more years for me at least. With prices of everything dropping, I do have that

itch, but if I were to do anything, it would be move down to one car like an Evora or 997 or something, and considering I've just spent a bunch on the 'vette and the Beemah lost $8K of value in 16K miles, it's kind of a
997 would be awesome.
I like your bimmer. I’d think it would sell ok on a forum or something because it’s a desirable spec.

I’m shocked they even gave an offer at this time. I’d expect that number to go down further. I think 13-15 sounds about right...
Think of it this way ... sure you lost 8k but someone who spent 60k on a car lost closer to 30. Its all relative
I’m at probably 10-12k In 8k miles and 9 months In the mini... and I bought it for 1/2 of msrp

I can't wait to see how underwater I am on the Trailcock when this settles.
Should be worth around 22-24 on trade ... now... also everyone’s definition of “underwater” varies

Underwater is defined as being worth anything less than what the loan payoff is.
I owe about $26k on it.
So close to

profit

I should have gotten another lease and gotten an off roader once we come out of hiding...
But if you could predict the Rona you wouldn’t be bothering with this peasant talk along side of myself

If I could predict the Rona, I would have never bothered buying a house here or anything.
I'd be hidden away in some secluded cabin living the Walter White bunker life.

Well... I bought $500 shocks and already spent like another $1k on this project. Plus I’m going to drop another probably $500 having a few things done at shops. So I’m doing my part but don’t want to do anymore.

Made some more progress this weekend in the one step forward, two back kind of way.
I got the oil pressure sensor removed and replaced. I noticed there was a ton of junk/corrosion in the connector so I cleaned it all out really well and put fresh tape over everything. All of the wiring looks good, nothing chewed up, frayed, etc. so hopefully it works for a while this time. I bought a Borg Warner unit which is allegedly better than OEM.
For fun, I timed the IM removal to see how I compare to the Air Boat Supreme.45 minutes for me, the whole job took about three hours for reference, but a lot of that was cleaning up the manifold, engine around it, installing new gaskets, etc. I also got the alternator back on and belt reinstalled. Everything under the hood is done - all cleaned up, new grounds everywhere, etc.
The

moment of the day was breaking one of the fiberglass body panels
I'm planning to detail the car before taking it down, so I'll bondo this up and throw some touch up paint on. It's out of sight, so doesn't need to be perfect. I noticed the other side has a hairline crack in the same spot too
Beater fun car life.

1000% not visible to anyone, sucks to break anything but if there's ever a place for one, you've found it. The first time that I lifted my C5.5, I found multiple cracks on that body panel, I didn't even bother fixing them lol

I just want to bondo it up so it doesn't spread more than anything.

It's a sub $10K car with a bunch of track/hard driving scars. This bitch ain't Zillspec.
