those pedals look awfully familiar. Gauges too, and volume knob is typical Audi (former designer at work).Johnny_P wrote: ↑Mon Mar 30, 2020 3:08 pm https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sal ... =spotlight
$36,800 for a Stinger GT2 AWD V6 fully loaded with hardly any miles on it. Audi gray over red. This was around $50k MSRP. Wow.
Man if I lived somewhere I could park this...

I mean, not really, met him at a track day, ran with him, chatted a bit.
1. He's an engineer, seemed like a really smart dude, but possibly younger than me? Mid twenties -ish.
2. Car looked nice from what I can tell, a lot of care went into it.
3. He was faster than me in my C5, even at Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval, which should be much better for a big powah car like a C5 versus the Exocet.

Paying a large chunk of cash for a track toy in the midst of a pandemic of indeterminate length with nowhere to park it seems like it might add some real spice to the dinnertime conversations with the wife. Tell us what happens Dan.

That thing is literally equal to the Beemah and![:poorvette: :poorvette:](./images/smilies/poorvette.png)
$8K 2003 track prepped Corvette + $12K for like new 2014 BMW 3 series = $20K
I don't like that![:math: :math:](./images/smilies/math.gif)
But I like the car. I would street drive that bish.

That's what I want it for too. Just BS street driving and nice weather to work.
Basically a more extreme version of the S2000. But yeah, the numbers are hard to work out. $20k for a toy is difficult. If it was non-turbo, and $10k? I would just add it to the garage and keep the S2000.

I mean it's competitively priced against other G8s. I agree the "value" isn't there, but we're talking a purchase price that is less than the amount of depreciation an M3 will see in 2 years.max225 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 02, 2020 1:14 pm11 years old...Johnny_P wrote: ↑Thu Apr 02, 2020 12:02 pm https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sal ... pe=listing

I think the transmission is the 6L80 which was the same used in the Corvette of similar vintage. So it would seem everything is under-stressed. Overbuilt. Should be pretty durable. I think the thing even runs on 87 octane.

Ugh this is pretty much exactly what I want but $39k is too damn much to park on the street and never use.

It'll run to the Moon and back with minimal issues on 87 zfg.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Thu Apr 02, 2020 1:24 pmI mean it's competitively priced against other G8s. I agree the "value" isn't there, but we're talking a purchase price that is less than the amount of depreciation an M3 will see in 2 years.

I do agree that they're surprisingly resistant to depreciation. The value is tough.
