That's pretty :disappoint: considering the Civic Si isn't a torque monster and you have an LSD.

PCV failed. RMS asploded. VC started to leak like a motherfucker. Car misfiring and stumbling because VC gasket seals the spark plug recesses halfway down them, so it filled with oil and killed the coil pack. Replace all that and it's back to misfiring. Not paying $700 for a VC gasket and $1k for an RMS plus why not just do the clutch while you're in there for $600 and before you know it you've spent an entire year of 1SMP ownership in one dealer visit for something that adds literally zero resale value to the vehicle.

Ah, the PCV fail. That's sad.

But I do think you're being dramatic about the RMS. It's leaking, but if it asploded, the car would be done.

I bet you could drive that thing for 100k miles without putting a dime into it.

We tend to forget how little a car takes to run.

Oh it runs. Just feels like you're on ice with how jerky and lumpy the acceleration is due to the misfiring.

...unless it's a V8 S4 Imageol:

I still miss that thing even though it was ridiculously expensive to run and not very good at anything.

There are a few things I could see me missing from my GTI down the line.
1) Steering wheel
2) Plaid seats
3) The exterior looks
4) The headlights (xenon)

I guess that's it.

Johnny's VW was assembled during Octoberfest. WAP and Balius had their GTI's assembled during a performance review.

I miss my GTI. I would definitely Mk7R in the future if we need to quit being a 3 car family. Or Mk8R, whatever.
