I am confused too.. my dealer said they didn’t have one… then they pulled it out the back let me drive it.. I set down to sign the paperwork and they couldn’t do the because it was some pre agreed transfer.
I’m looking for a very specific blue S with a manual. Don’t care for any options on this to limit depreciation.

So ladies and gents … almost bought a car today!
Drove the 22 gti, they are made in Germany again btw ! Surprisingly there are quite a few in stock (10per dealer ) around me but dwindling fast …
I have zeroed in on the basic bitch “s” which is actually standard with quite more features than previous gens. Safety tech, digital dash, auto climate, decent stereo, supposedly led headlights but a different type, limited slip, semi powered seats (seat back), a fucking heated steering wheel, heated seats, keyless etc.
Mk8 criticism is overblown. Infotainment is fine, yea yea blah blah buttons oh buttons and knobs. The touch screen is quick and works just fine.
Base stereo is decent
Digi dash is way better than mk7.5 gen
Shifter and clutch are great
I did think it didn’t have as much space as I would have wanted especially out back. If they got smaller.
Long story short … on why I didn’t buy it… it was supposed to be a dealer to dealer transfer … which my dealer tried to stop… but couldn’t do it… so I ended up walking on the
31.7k msrp + tax and 0 fuckery. So it’s 1/4 tesla and probably a cartel condo in the bank. Don’t see how I can go wrong here other than buying a white one so that everyone still thinks I drive a mk6 from 2011.
Let me know if y’all have any questions
That's a great bloo, and in general I think this gen looks good.

Yes the wheels are less than stellar. Agreed on that. They almost look like swastikas
Honestly I'd probably pay $400-$500 to get them powdercoated either all silver or all black. I really hate this black/milled surface trend.
Pretty sure I can just swap a set from another gti. But I think I will give exactly 0 fucks. It’s a point a to point b disposable thing to me. I just want it clean, fueled up and ready to go, in not gray or white. Since both of those will make me feel

Yeah I'm sure there's some MK7 boi willing to swap, but then you might need tires as well.

Ugh the annoying thing is … I kind of want the se … I really like the updated leather/sound/lights… but it just seems to spend 6k on that …
Rock the S until there's cash on the hood of cars again?
Johnny_P wrote: ↑Sun Jul 17, 2022 1:32 pm
I’d go SE. according to VW, the base doesn’t have keyless access.
Yea … base doesn’t have keyless which isn’t ideal.
But going SE means 42k otd they are already being sold for 35-6 “slightly used” I’d lose 7k driving it off the lot

I'm good with the S. Pushing a button on a fob to unlock my doors>delivering pizzas in a quarter million mile beer can. You can keep your Oktoberfest Sunroof as well. One thing though, ALL VW RAMZ, S, SE and Autobahn...............are instant Seppuku and I would not even drive the car off the lot until I had swapped these on. https://neuspeedrswheels.com/collection ... rse12-8812.
That is a super fanboi comment but the stock wheels are appalingly ugly.

Yes it's a cool car. But prepare the lube/sawdust.
Also, Reflex Silver and Moonstone Gray would be fine, and finally I assume that while Himmler was finalizing the wheel design he also came up with the thousand points of light foglamp concept which will not join the 300 SL Gullwing in automotive design immortality.
