The battery fix which costs anywhere between $50-500 will get that thing back up to 4k "value" and it has nearly no running costs. 200k miles for a prius is nothing.

about what's cheapest, if I'm in CA it's because I'm rich like you and can afford a few grand a year to have a cool car instead of a pod. Probably 2 cool cars so that one can be available when the other is in the shop.

Not rich after you factor in COI. But we went down this path before. I only have a 1 car garage... going to a 2 car is going to cost 400k down and 6k a month. A bit more than a "few grand a year" unless you want to rent a garage somewhere.
