OT 14: No Luck for Old Men

Went to my brother's court date with him regarding his fist fight with 3 14 year olds. He plead guilty to one of the charges and was sentenced to 90 days jail time which will be waved if he completes a serenity house program. And a bunch of fines ($1,340) but whatever. Unless he doesn't complete that anger management program he won't see prison.

He learned nothing from this. I drove into philly to pick him up and he had the nerve to say I shouldn't have even talked to the police and ran instead. He also told me that court was at 7pm rather then at 7:30 because he didn't want to be late. I would have been fine being early but he won't communicate honestly with anyone, has to manipulate instead. Afterwards he felt the blame laid on the "punk kids". I dropped him off at wawa and gave him money for an uber because he wanted me to drive him to west philly at 9:30.

Gotta keep in mind the whole horse water thing. You can be supportive and try to help, but in the end you can’t control his thoughts and behaviors. That responsibility ultimately falls on him.
