Got bad news from the insurance bros on Monday. Bike actually had 6K in damages.
So it'll be a total loss. Won't be replacing it with another two wheeler directly. On the hunt for a miata or something else fun I believe. The teen of the house starts driving next year, so having a 3rd car will be more useful to us than two motorbikes.

I imagine it is going to be a bit of a process. I might even sit in the insurance money for a bit given everything going on in the world. Not sure yet.

I have the wants for sure.
feels like we should sit on the money for little while and she’s probably not wrong.
NC prices will be lower here over the winter too, so if I stay local, waiting isn’t my worst option.
