He just plays it off like he won the truck battle, because he knows we'd think less of him for losing to a magnificent pair of pintresting

I do what I can, but I'm limited in time really, as I can't access the site too much from work cause we're so busy. And I'm back in school for another degree to further my career, so I'm spending most of my free time working on homework and shit like that now.Detroit wrote:You should change this.Devilchrono wrote:

I've been looking at the GM small twin trucks a lot lately.
I really like the GMC Canyon, SLE w/ SLE Conv., Locker Rear, and Two Pkg, that seems to have all the gadgets I want, with the abilities I want.
3.6L w/ Quad Cab.
I'm waiting for the 2017's to hit the lot, to see hoe they stack up with a minuscule bump in powah, and with the 8-speed BMX tranny.
The truck I want, with options has an MSRP of around $32k, which is just too absurd
Plan B is for a used Sierra 2012-2014 Quad Cab, SLE w/ ~40-60k miles for mid 20's.
Not the new hotness, which I do admit, I really like the GM truk interiors, they're far superior (I'll see myself out)

You could probably get a 2014+ Sierra Double cab for mid 20's. The Double cab is surprisingly big and the interior, ride, etc of the K2 trucks is fantastic.
The residual on my truck is $28k next year, there should be a number of trucks coming off lease for that price.

Agreed.Melon wrote:I do like the size of the GM twins more
The full-sizers are fucking massive.
But I'm amazed at how handy the full size bed is. I'd have a hard time downsizing, though I'd like to.

But considering the price difference, it's tough to justify less for more.

This is why leasing is awesome.Melon wrote:I hope so, I'd even be willing to lease. NFG, and I know myself, I'll want a new toy in 3 years.
Also, I can re-assess my needs.

I have zero regrets with my '05 Silverado. Then again I got it for 3K in pretty awesome shape from a retarded friend who doesn't know how to negotiate or learn how to wheel and deal.
I could never go with anything smaller than a crew cab for a full sized truck. Not for the people space, but for the fact that I can store so much shit in the back cab and have it shielded from the weather. I've got a decent bed cover that I bought for the truck for $289 shipped, but it's not really sealed. I can haul band gear for gigs and shit back there, but on the off chance we run through some rain it's nice to have the back cab. And when I pull the rear seat out it's space galore.
