Well, seems all of the 'yota in this area charge ADM -$5K or so. One said it is 'negotiable if I come in and discuss/order' but that sounds like a waste of my time.
Remember that Toyota doesn't do orders. "Placing an order" is and likely a cash grab from the dealer to get a deposit on a car they'll get anyway. The best way is to find an MSRP dealer and "build a relationshit" with someone there to keep an eye out for incoming inventory to put your name on somehow. I told my to let me know if they get ANYTHING with a manual transmission allocated that I could snag. He texts me every week "nothing yet, still keeping an eye out".
This is kinda where I'm thinking maybe the BR-Z is better. I'd get a 2023, get it sooner, get exactly what I want at MSRP with no accessories or markup.
I do like the duck bill spoiler there is any other appreciable difference.

Since they're made at the same plant, it's very possible you can't order a BRZ either. They also make less of them, so finding a dealer willing to sell at MSRP might be quite the challenge.

I have the quote in hand... talked to the sales guy and he was super chill, said I can put down a deposit for the order and would receive in October.
And yes, , you're reading that right, I'm down to pay an extra four bills for a compass.

Oh shit. That's the way IMO. Waiting endlessly for a Toyota allocation that may or may not come and have what you want is frustrating.

I'd have to get a WRB one
Yeah the color is a tough call... but I really love it in red. I feel like blue will be the most popular on both cars as well, red might be a bit more unique.
I will chat with about it tonight, may pull the trigger.

Looks good in red for sure, I've actually seen one and it. But there's something about these things in blue Though, I really want the Whorange special edition one, but there's zero chance of actually finding one so it's basically vaporware.

Took all of 1/2 a day I don't understand the 's paying MARKUP. Also of your tax but that DOC FEE is pure rape. I encountered this outside of cali... we're at $80 mandated by the state for that.
Do you not have a garage door opener? I love Homelink, probably the most used feature in my 4R TBH.
Of course I do. It's clipped to my passenger visor. I push the button and the garage door opens. How is homelink zomg better?
Legit question.
You don't have that stupid thing hanging from the visor destroying it, plus you never have to change batteries. Our house didn't come with an opener, so I bought the cheapest compatible one just to program homelink in the vehicles. I leave the opener for the house sitter, that's all it gets used for.
To be fair the homelink in the MBZ does not work and I have not filed a disability claim from the stress caused by my visor clip opener nor its effect upon the visor.
