That’s the one … 80k + 50k markup for a lucky cuck cuz rare and zomg
Car Talk 6: Best of times and Worst of Times
We now have like 33k on the JLU. The infotainment crashed one time that I know of (power cycling the car fixed this) and it has otherwise been 100% flawless. It really was a great purchase, still lifetime fuel economy at over 20 mpg and worth more than we paid for it new per Carvana. I personally would have no issue purchasing more Stellanus but they don’t make much else I have interest in.max225 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 1:12 pmThis is really odd..Detroit wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 11:19 am Worst ever industry IQS from JD Power. Can't say I'm surprised, but it's really disappointing that vehicles cost more than they ever have, they're harder to get than ever, AND they're crappier than ever.

The Cucktrek we bought last year didn't have issues, neither did the 4R. Vehicles further along in their lifecycle are probably the better ones to buy right now.happened to Porsche ?! Only thing I can think of is the Taycan dragging them down ….
Dodge better than Lexus?!then again … I never thought fca vehicles were as bad as their rep.
I am glad we have a Wrangler and not a Bronco also. Agreed that the Bronco proportions are just a little too weird/huge/Hotwheels-esque.
I also agree with Eric on the WRX. It seems like an ok vehicle but it’s sort of just a phoned in final effort to fool a few last vape bros into buying Subaru before they go full dog hair love box.
I can’t possibly imagine buying one over say an Si which is likely as much/more fun, +70% fuel economy, nicer looking inside/out, and $5k less.

Waiting would be

Well the local
here allegedly has some unspoken for allocations.
I'm waiting on the guy to call me back to get some details. Carvana is currently offering $19.6K for the Beemah. Not great, not terrible. I wonder if C&B would be better.

I mean, it's great compared to what they would historically be worth, but down a bit from a few months ago. 48K miles on it. It may be high enough that I'd just take it and run, we shall see. Maybe I'll just

I would say now is the time to sell anything used. It won't be going anywhere but down. If you like the 86, 20k seems like a great

Well, they hyped me up and then brought me back down.
They have a blue auto coming in... they also charge $5K markup on every 86 non negotiable.
I will try calling the other 'yota
in the area tomorrow and see if anything is different elsewhere. They said I could put down a deposit and submit a preference and I may be able to get one in a couple of months but it may not be the color I want or whatever.
I'm not paying $5K over MSRP
, so if all of them are on the same page, then I will carry on living in poverty with the Beemah.

This does not surprise me, unfortunately. There are some dealer groups around here who have mentioned to me that they have an across the board "no ADM" policy. Where I got mine was one of those places, but most are not like that. If you wanna make a trip to Indiana I can put you in touch with my guy.D Griff wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 5:50 pm Well, they hyped me up and then brought me back down.

Also, refreshed the Carvana offer and got this today. Shit's crazy.

Toyota doesn't built to orders, they build what the fuck they want and you can get in line and take it or leave it. Hence the "it may not be the color you want" comment. I couldn't even pick my aftermarket accessories, the car came loaded with $800 worth of bullshit I had no interest in, but that stuff gets put on before it leaves the factory and you'll pay for it with a smile or someone else will.max225 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 9:37 pmSounds shady …D Griff wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 5:50 pm Well, they hyped me up and then brought me back down.

My dealer doesn't charge markups, but they admitted that they load the vehicles up with port installed stuff to make more money. My truck got some dumb shit like $75 door edge guards, a $100 USB Port and cables, floor mats, roof rack cross rails. None of which I particularly wanted, but at least the deal was MSRP, and I got at least a little something for the additional money. Markups is just lighting money on fire and aD Griff wrote: ↑Wed Jul 06, 2022 9:05 amcoogles wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 9:39 pm

The guy was pretty much like 'we could make it $10K if we wanted and it would make no difference, non negotiable'. I got off the phone pretty quickly after that. I should've probably told them in more certainty I'd never buy under those circumstances to at least give them that data point, but whatever.

today, my wife's T-Reg finally puked it up. Parts are about $500 including a new serpentine belt and fluids, and the labor costs another 420 deneros. Overall a not bad price for that service, and a lot cheaper then the 2.0T motors. VW water-pumps are a joke
The truck is holding up fairly well otherwise, and I'll be shopping for new summer tires. Still not sure if I should buy the cheapest quality minivan tars or do something off-roady. It really won't ever go off the road
I like what Toyota put on Max's Taco, anyone remember the brand/name?
