These look even more orange in real life, this is what my sort of buddy has, quite a dope looking vehicle, IMO.

I agree with Max :doe: , color fads seem to come and go quickly. I'm hopeful that the flat grey thing is on it's way out. It was cool when it was a total novelty five years ago and now is just like... bleh. The world has plenty of cement/concrete already without cars blending in with it.

I wouldn't trade up for anything in it's class, or anything nicer unless the additional cost was absorbed by someone else, it's the perfect car for a family of four in an environment that supports normal sized sidewalls.

They shuttled me back to my house and will pick me up when the car is ready. I haven't had that service since before 2020.
Btw my buddy has been trying to get a hybrid Camry… and the dealers here “don’t take reservations” because the line of people trying to get one is too long. Markup of 5-10k or :gtfo:
Shit, I'd sell it for +$10K, but I don't even want to touch the car market with a ten foot pole. Got too much on the go to not have a car, and that's the big issue for most people... No dang product!

We got the 4R just over 5 months ago, and it has 4,300 miles on it as of yesterday. We never go anywhere.

Yes. That’s what happens when you stay at a company for 6 years and are 50% under market for pay . You get some days off here and there and some work life balance

I hate that … it’s an accounting trick. It allows the company to not do a “vacation pay out” accrual on the balance sheet. As it is a liability. And it fucks the employees because if you were to quit you don’t get that sweet extra month of pay or whatnot. I’m waiting for us to make that switch too… just a matter of time. We used to bonus 2x a year and now it’s annually also…

State laws dictate vacation payouts. Here, you get nothing when you quit, which is different from CA.

Every company I've worked for in Michigan doesn't allow vacation roll-over, so use it or lose it by the end of the year. Even better, you don't get the entire amount at the beginning of the year, you accrue it through the year.

When I left my last company, in my exit interview I laid out all these issues (including potentially illegal things), and the HR rep mentioned that I was the most courteous and polite she had encountered talking about these sorts of issues. At the end, I was informed that I owed the company $397 for taking vacation time that I hadn't yet accrued and that I'd be getting a bill in the mail within 30 days of my last day. I :ayfkm: "I guess I'll go talk to the newspaper about some of the things I just told you then." "Please don't do that, I'll see what we can do".

The bill never came.

Well.. sometimes I use more, but it's a number of things.

1. Every other week I'm on the road for work and typically fly and/or have a rental car
2. Most short distance things I ride my bike (say going to a brewery, picking up a few things at the grocery store, trips to the gym). Our house is sort of in the middle of the city so everything is close by
3. No commute really ever, and I actually biked to work before all of this :bs: started anyway
4. Beep Beep is generally used when we take a weekend trip or something like that because :tits: hates driving :manuel:
