Toddler abusing the animals. He hit the poor dog yesterday and Josie just laid down on her side in the middle of the room. He hit her so hard he started to scream because he hurt his hand. The dog did literally nothing to him, she was standing out of the way and he walked past, turned, walked back to her, and hit her. I had the baby on the changing table and couldn’t stop him.
Then our AC system tomorrow. Have to vacate the house for 3 fucking days while they dick with it and rip walls apart. It’ll take even more time to patch the holes they make. I was supposed to take a half day tomorrow but we have this all hands meeting that I must attend for reasons. So idk what the hell im going to do with that.
This car bullshit. And new job starting sometime. June 24 I think. I’m half tempted to call the hiring manager and say I have way too much shit going on and can’t do this. Because the new job will start at 6am, I won’t be able to help Lisa in the mornings. So she’s on her own with baby, toddler, and dog and trying to keep the toddler from getting violent.
wtf
This is all why I want noting to do with a needy vehicle.
Man. That situation with the dog sounds tough. We had something similar, though it wasn't as bad in some ways, it was worse in others. Our oldest kid really pestered our younger dog when he was a toddler - chased him around, grabbed his legs, yanked on his beard and his tail, and just generally had no idea how to treat a dog. Coop handled it fine for awhile but at some point he decided he didn't like the kids and would growl quietly under his breath any time they got close to him. We constantly worried he was going to bite them but he never did. Still, we always had to watch them closely when they were around him to coach them to give him space.
Definitely sounds like something that offers basic, reliable transportation should be #1 at the moment.

We mostly just don’t understand it. We did all the positive interaction stuff when he was small. He used to love feeding and walking the dog. Now he wants to take his bike on dog walks and insists on riding behind me so he can run the bike into her legs. So we put a stop to that. The other day we were reading a book on the couch. He got up went over to the dog who was just laying on the floor and stomped on her paw.
Like what the hell. This shit has been a building issue for 2 years and it’s just getting more violent. He’s almost 4, he’s supposed to grow out of this bullshit.
We have tried talking to him. Repeatedly. When we try to talk to him about it he either screams or kicks us. We have tried so many things at this point and it’s just beyond us. We are looking into psychiatrists and reached out to our doctor for some help too. But I’ve got a sinking feeling this little shit is going to force us to rehome the pets before the dog loses it on him.
We bought a house with a big yard for more space. A house with larger square footage so they could find some separation. 90% of the reason we moved to this fucking train wreck of a house was him. And it’s done absolutely nothing to remedy anything.
That GT is one ugly bmw. The second, nah, diesel is even more expensive than premium anymore. You gotta remember I don’t really care too much about how it drives as long as it’s easy to own and dependable.

does he have an outlet for all that energy? daycare, karakte, swim lessons, something to wear his ass out? Because if so it sounds like a literal wearing out of ass is warranted.

My son has done some of that. What I worry about with the whole spanking thing is that it's going to teach them that it's okay to hit others. Like if I do it, who am I to say he shouldn't hit somebody else if they're not doing what he wants them to do?
I have given each of the kids a swat on the butt on a few occasions, but I try to make it super rare and only to get their attention if they are really doing something egregious, typically repeatedly. The point isn't to really hurt them, just to startle them and change the dynamic of the situation. Sometimes it works, sometimes it's sent them off the deep end emotionally.

Parenting is hard sometimes.
Same, exactly, and once they know you are the boss AND serious typically a warning is all it takes. I know our kid responds better to timeout, but once every six months or so a firm tap reminds him whos boss / snaps him out of ...whatever do loop he is stuck in.
Dog is similar, but with shock collars. I've threatened the kid with a shock collar
Parenting is definitely hard.

Yeah we have him in summer camp and frequently do playgrounds or bike rides and stuff before dinner.

My late brother's S5 started spewing oil from plastic parts in the engine bay. All fixed now, but it was not cheap.
The VAG V6's (current and last gen) just bought me a Miata. They shit through water pumps, and timing covers leak like crazy. I wouldn't own without a GOOD warranty.
Oof, I'm selling his in the next couple of weeks. Valuations probably indicative of those issues.
They're definitely not the prettiest BMW's out there but they seem like a great option for an experience.
B58, awd, and liftback utility is tough to beat.
I don’t understand how ANY used bmw post the warranty period is an experience. That’s simply
The only true bmw experience is a lease.
That said bmw i4 is leasing pretty darn good. They are running sub $500 leases on them here.
I mean, for his use case it fits IF he lucks out and gets a reliable one. But if he was willing to take the plunge on a Vulva, a BMW is probably similar in maintenance costs.

It's not exciting, but a brand new Outback Premium 2.5i can be had for right at $30,000. Subaru is also offering 2.9% for up to 72 months.
If you want motoring, I'd think it hard to do better than that given the requirements here.
Price is on point. 0 farts for $30k is These are pretty big so interior space I assume is plentiful. And interior finishes aren't terrible any more. Lifted and AWD should survive lunar road surfaces, too. I didn't hate my friend's Forrester with this same motor, fwiw. Couldn't really tell it had a CVT, either.
Where are these mangos?

IIRC the 3GT shared the 5er wheelbase and the 5GT shared the 7er wheelbase
Does the 5 have any more room in the back seat? For 2016, the 3 series has 35.1” of rear legroom and the 5 series has 35.3, on paper at least.
Volvo has a similar story with the V60 vs V90. They’re basically the same size inside.
I mean an Accord has 40”. Which appears to be enough for me as the CRV has the same.
Legroom is measured with the seat at its rear most position. It's possible the 5 series seat goes back farther. The wheelbase difference is 5" longer on the GT which IIRC is almost entirely all rear legroom
