:tits: was curious and called the listing agent. Didn't say who she was, just that she was interested in the house. Dude told her that it's pending, so the other offer must have been legit.

Around here, they call it "pending". It's something we've heard all the time.

I'm really not upset about it, I don't hate where we live so whatever. Running out of pinshitting on the current house anyway, so that's a step ahead vs. moving.

There will be other houses.

Sell Bag End and invest in RTT and an EZ-bake oven for the ZRdos in the meantime? Think of all the fat stacks you'll save and personal pan Little Caesars you'll enjoy!
:lolol: If I was single, sure.

I really don't understand RTT's. I like being able to setup camp and go off exploring. Can't do that if camp IS the truck.

Agreed. Good as an all-in-one adventure thing if you're on the road though.

I'd personally like a teardrop setup.
Same. We'd love a teardrop, but the prices are :fullretard:

Yea, I just don't have the time. House pinshitting eats up my time for trailer pinshitting.

Yeah, I couldnt pull trigger on buying one. They are pretty expensive for size. I briefly thought about DIY on a steel frame. It isnt off the table but I will have to tent camp a LOT MORE before even looking at them again.

:dat:

I need to pick up my tent from my parents' :haus: (and also do a master purge of all remaining shit I have in their basement) and start venturing out for some camping.
that was my conclusion as well. Actually go do the shit I want instead of buying more shit that I have to work more to pay for.

In terms of having 2 days off in a row, yeah we get the shit end of the steek.

But overall I enjoy my split days off.
Overall I enjoy my solid 3 day weekends.

Mortgage on the beach house is currently sitting at 2.65%, variable on a 5 yr. I'm pushing to find lower tomorrow but i think I'm scraping the bottom. The absolute moronic thing about lenders is that if I didn't dig up 20% I probably would have secured an even lower rate. Like another 0.2%. Why the fuck would a bank want to give a better rate to someone with less skin in the game??

On the flip side the existing owners might be willing to property manage our place for a fee. they do a walk through before and after, surveying any damages, clean the house, dishes and bed sheets! Place is rented out the first two weeks we own it for $2900/week in Canuckian ruple-stuples which is :mindblown: .

Any loan under 20% is automatically charged a loan insurance fee. I guess that makes them lower risk or something. The world is encouraged to be irresponsible.

whom do you think owns the mortgage insurance companies?

Also, if you default on a 15% down loan.... the bank stands to gain an asset. Mortgage insurance didn't work in the 08 crunch and wont work in the next one. Its the hugest legal scam the banks have come up with since the fractional reserve banking system became legal.

but alas, a 5 year loan on a house is hilariously short. They justify the higher rate by knowing you will take it; because your over all out of pocket over the term is less.

TL;DR: they are fucking you because you can add.

They offer a 3 yr or 5 yr guarantee on rates. The three is sometimes cheaper but i always go with a longer timeframe

Canadia doesn't do long term fixed rate? Ie. 15, 20, or 30 year notes?

We can do fixed but it's almost a point higher and caps at 5yr commitment. So every five years the rate gets renegotiated on the balance.

Interesting... Here in the US we can go up to a 30 year fixed rate.
