others seem to have little sympathy for the people in the private world duking it out in a volatile market since 1998. 2008. 2016. 2020.... mass layoffs in the bloated fed space seem long over due. Those roles of well paid, cushy and secure fed jobs, pensions etc, are memes that predate the internet.

The time we will get deflation is when the boomers get wiped by a stock market and housing crash. There is no reason why a house that was worth 150k in a flyover pos town is now worth 500k in a matter of 4 years. That amount of wealth is what is spinning up all this crazy spending …

I meant in a reduced tax burden in upcoming years.
As is projected Trump's current tax cut plan will increase the national debt.
But this is yet to be seen, there's a lot in play at the moment.

I can feel sorry for a person and / or good peoples (ie, you) whos gov jobs are being eliminated, remote work promises not kept, etc.
However on a macro level this has / needs to happen. Those chucklefucks in DC have got to balance the budget, root out the corruption, and start being accountable to we the people again. Like in any war, there will be casualties; be thankful its not a shooting one.

Sauce, I feel this is well within the fed - exec branch to audit and reduce spending. Elon is an advisor role. He is a ploy/scapegoat.
Clinton did this very same thing. Exec penned/willed an audit group. The last admin that cared about a balanced budget. Any fed group that has spawned from the 70s now has a target on it. They had a need when created but over the decades have wildly overstepped the initial intent. No charity, group, bureaucracy has EVER scaled BACK their mission, bounds, or funding. Its always perpetual growth, even once their agenda is accomplished.
from my perspective, the DOGE effort has been hyper transparent in audit findings. which are staggering and things we already knew.

Call me crazy but to me … a 7 figure house is a huge liability and expense that shouldn’t be common place. Because the jobs required to maintain that level of debt are just super difficult to come by… yet somehow it’s all too common nowadays.
