Been a really long week at work. Looks like I'm off Friday. Closing at 11am.

Got keys to house a bit early. Did. A walk through last night and drank some beers with Richie. The kitchen sink disposal is stuck. Unsure if I should try to free it or just replace. Looks like a painter dumped paint down it. I think the safe bet is replace it. Sink doesn't drain well.

All other systems look good. Looked into moving the panel there are 2. So moving the smaller feed panel shouldnt be hard. And we might have a line on decent priced crawfish.

The preferred airboat method.

1) Perform a crawfish boil and place shells in a yellow bucket to the side
2) Prep white JB weld in an orange traffic cone with the bottom taped off with spare 2X4
3) Prep black JB weld in your bare hands
4) dump crawfish shells from the yellow bucket into the orange traffic cone
5) Mix thoroughly with right hand while using your left hand to remove tape/2X4 from the bottom of the traffic cone to allow crawfish guts to run out. Mix until you obtain a "Murica" consistency
6) Pour entire contents into garbage disposal while running (no water), have the wifey crack a Pabst (Old Milwaukee is a suitable substitute if it's on sale) and pour freshly cracked open beer into your mouth as you fill the garbage disposal. Once it's full turn garbage disposal off and allow to harden
7) Wait 23 hours, then fill with Prestone Radiator Stop Leak to fill any pinholes.
8) Proclaim yourself the airboat champion on your street and proceed to kill anyone who challenges your authority

I slept at gals place once after we'd made tacos and stuff for dinner. The next morning while she showered I was finishing cleaning up the kitchen and all the dishes and realized her disposal didn't work. She had a mini-tool kit that she gave me when I asked, and I was able to fix it in about 15 seconds. Major brownie points won that morning for both the cleaning and the fixing.

In NY we were told 6 weeks bare minimum. 15 days they would have laughed in our faces, they wouldn't even try for 30.

I’ve gotten mortgages cleared to close in 5 calendar days before. It’s not that difficult

update

Cliffs:

-Flagstar threw the loan into a dead end audit review ON the day we were cleared to close. We sat at the closing office for a few hours hoping to resolve it. nope, didnt happen.
-I got ZERO updates or ETA on when they could get us back to close for a full 7 days. They stalled and sat on thumbs. They are a massive corp with shit policies and some serious lack of urgency, empathy or respect for peoples time and money.

-On day 6 I went to a local lender that has a good reputation.

-Was super pissed and have written Flagstar off as an L. All money has been wired and sitting in holding acct at title place.

-We are paying utilities on future . We've given the seller/owner a $1500 non-refundable deposit. I've lost $500 on the initial appraisal and have had to order/buy another one.

-New lender says close on April 10th. All process looks great and smooth so far. They picked up and ran with it.

Rates dropped in the mix of all the Went from a 4.678% to a 4.125% which dropped my payment by $120/mo.

So the silver lining is we have a better lender on board. A better rate and lower note. They are also using wife's income, when flagstar wouldnt. Self employment sucks on financing. They worked with us and the 2018 filed tax returns showing she has made good money for the last year.

Solid silver lining right there. Shitty about the first company, but second one plus the lower rate is all
