Whole lot of fuckery happening at work. Put in for another job this morning with my newly doctored resume, and should hear something from my buddy's wife in OKC on what the hiring manager thought of my resume...

What's going on?
There’s a new, internal policy that we return all quotes requested to our customer within 2 weeks. Okay, that’s fine, and we should have standards. My lead has now sat on three different quotes for between a week and a week an a half before assigning them to me, and still expects me to get them back to our customer within two weeks of when he received the RFQ. Not my fault that you forgot to delegate the work bro. Failure to plan on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.

Yup fuck that
Yeah.. I mean, I’ll bust my ass for the 8 hours I’m there, but don’t give me a dirty look and ask why I’m not staying late when I leave at the end of my 8 hour shift.

If you have emailed proof of when you got the assignment then the pressure is entirely on your boss. Late submissions always reflect poorly on him unless he can find a way to throw someone under the bus which doesn't work if you're the best guy there.

Always cover your ass and document everything. I started putting everything work related in my calendar at work. Every phone call, project, meeting, etc. is logged or emailed.

DFD. The forum where everybody makes the same choices and then tells anybody trying to join the club that they are the stupidest motherfucker to ever walk the earth.

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.
