Slower, less efficient, likely worse handling, worse eveything really. Even with all the shit going wrong with vw I still much prefer the brand to Mazda. Which to me is absolutely soul less short of the Miata. All their cars seem like knock offs with pleather added in for “luxury”MexicanYarisTK wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2024 8:18 pmOut of curiousity, is it probably because its smaller and crampier than a Golf, perhaps slower?

I really don't understand why Mazda is such a darling of the journalist industry. I've rented a ton of them, super meh other than the Miata.max225 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 10:09 amSlower, less efficient, likely worse handling, worse eveything really. Too cool, too interesting, too fun. Let's build $65K electric retro vans with 190 miles of range.golftdibrad1 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 1:04 pm https://www.thedrive.com/news/pour-one- ... ially-dead

We certainly love ours. Now that one of the Atlases is officially mine I kind of want to put an exhaust on it. Wookie noises out of an SUV would be stupid and yet quite fun.

The van is such a missed opportunity. At 39,995 it would have made sense at double that price it can go kick rocksDesertbreh wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 1:27 pmToo cool, too interesting, too fun. Nostalgia or something? When the 3 first came out it was a legit nice car that drove very well. Lots of luxury car type options. The compact car segment was awful at that time. Things have changed and others have caught up.D Griff wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 11:15 amI really don't understand why Mazda is such a darling of the journalist industry. My dad had a Passat VR6. It was a complete shit show of a car and horrifically unreliable. But when it worked it sounded amazing, handled great, and was a complete riot to drive. I low key loved that car.
I bet an atlas with an exhaust would sound good. I’d do it.

All my friends did intakes. That way you as the driver hear it, but the rear passengers don't.coogles wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 2:10 pmgolftdibrad1 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 1:04 pm https://www.thedrive.com/news/pour-one- ... ially-dead

The 3 is still kind of decent, I'd say nicer than a Civic but also way less usable. The CX5 thing just blows my mind. I have rented all these vehicles and CX5 is the worst in its class and the car journalist guys continually recommend it and say it's a standout. I legit hate that car.

Yeah bros, I hate driving Michelle’s CX-5. But as an appliance for point A to point B, it’s great for her. She can’t feel the difference between good and bad driving dynamics, and the AWD in the trim that she got makes her feel better about driving in the weather up here.
