Nah Jeremy isn't racing his car and the shifts in the R8 feel great. The gear spacing is also pretty spot on. With a Cayman though I'm PDK all day because fuck 80mph in second driving around CLT.

So we're talking Emira, 4.0 GTS, and a left field suggestion of that R8.
I had no idea, but I started digging into R8s. A convertible with a 6-speed manual is way more rare than I realized. I like the look of the coupe more, but if it's a fun car in Charlotte, a convertible is a better pick.
Honestly, I would be looking at a slightly used C8 Z06 convertible. More exotic and special engine than anything else listed. Better ride. More practical. Just a more special car in every way.

I think I'm taking my brother-in-law to go pickup his new truck tonight. He has a Ford Ranger Raptor coming in. He's been driving a Ford Fusion he got new in college this entire time. He has a house now, and wanted a truck. He was really considering a Lightning, but ultimately he couldn't fit it comfortably in his garage.
A Lariat Ranger is only a couple grand less than a Raptor, so he just went for it. It's much cooler and resale is a lot better. Quite a bit of truck for the money sadly. It's like exactly what I paid for my Lightning ($58k + tax & title). Still seems like an insane amount, but compared to the TuRD Pro or Braille Hunter, it's a bargain. Those are all pushing 10% more.
Shelter Green Metallic. No lame decal package. No bed lock wheels. Spray in bed liner. Probably the same way I would spec it.

That’s exactly my “spec” but sadly they are all marked up here. The factory tune is well worth it for $600 also.MrH42 wrote: ↑Tue May 20, 2025 9:27 am I think I'm taking my brother-in-law to go pickup his new truck tonight. He has a Ford Ranger Raptor coming in. You can’t really compare msrps though. You can get 5-8k off the lariat vs having a higher msrp and 0 discount on the Raptor. So the gap is substantial

Yea that hybrid bullshit they are claiming is just no bueno. The raptor is a full second faster to 60 than a turd bro taco and they have supposedly similar hp/tq
Much fakery on Toyotas part imo. Not to mention a giant price premium on a Mexican made thing

I mean I’d be happy with the work truck spec Colorado so my opinion is pretty irrelevant I guess. But I see no reason to spend that much on a pickup truck that will see more trips to a grocery store than it will to a hardware supply store.

Yeah. I mean now with every Colorado getting the bigger dick 300 whatever HP motor it’s no longer a 2.5 natty shitbox.
