BUUUUT in the G generation the 340i engines are quite stout and much closer to M3 performance ... but now you have all these damn other models to choose from. Like an X drive 340i will be faster than a M3 base rwd, but then a M3 comp will be the fastest.
imo way too many models
Slap a Carbahn stage 1 on a comp and you're making nearly 700hp with a warranty. S58 is a monster.
Jesus, I've been looking at a JB4 which should net me about 500rwhp (~560 at the crank) about 100+ over stock. The factory intercooler was made for the CT5 so it's good for 650hp. (According to the internet, so *citation needed* )
700 is possible but that's with downpipes, and several other supporting mods like an upgraded HPFP and heat issues will arise.
Imagine 200 more lbs over the front ... and the same section tire... I bitched about this almost a decade ago now time flies when you're not having fun.
Hence the whole meme. And the fact that one of the prior assholes changed my username to that... still standing
Wasn't me but, I can try and figure out how to change it back should you be interested.
I have made my peace with it. And it’s kind of sticking now so it’s all good.

Right on, you seemed upset by it earlier.
Griff can figure it out if you change your mind.
My days of going into the mod panel are long gone.
Can I? I have no idea how to do anything other than approving or banning and little interest in learning. I just hope things keep working and we’re golden.
That M3 sold for $41,250. Not terrible. I still think I’d probably go for a Hype R/S that’s way newer and will be easier to live with.
I don’t know that I want to spend that much on something that will sit outside, only driven once or twice a week, handle kid duty… I think if I’m going to care about the car a lot, I’d rather just keep the 86.

86 has a back seat for when you’re in a pinch. And it’ll fit the kid really well from 2-6 years old… then it’s time to get something else.

Ask Mr. Repp, that's all I can think of. That was done under the admin login, I didn't have access to that.
Current need is moot but, useful for the future perhaps.

he’d help me out if it becomes a need. I’m very pleased that this server errors and such seemed to have mostly worked themselves out.

Yeah… I should just find a checked suitcase that can fit in the trunk to hold my work shit, seems doable.
The high Carvana offers just are tempting.
I’d love it if my kid’s world didn’t require her to have a car but if she does, the 86 would be a great first car if I can go the distance
I feel like if you budget $30K for this it would make a lot of sense. Just get a decent head bolt estimate and let er' rip. A wait and see approach will not work as the damage is pretty catastrophic if one goes on you.

Yes it's a cool car. But prepare the lube/sawdust.
I'm putting new in the SB on Saturday. The original tint bought at the dealer is giving up the ghost on the rear window. I will drive an old car. I will not drive ANY car with bubbly tint.

Hopefully it comes off without damaging any dot matrix or defrost lines.
