I kind of want one as a family car too. I wish Chris would've stayed a while so we could get updates on the seX5.

It's pretty much my perfect hauler. Plenty of power from that smoooooooth B58. Sounds great. Gets way better than expected mpeegee's and it's the perfect size.

I've always been a german car guy but I really don't know how I can go back to Toyota after I dump the Rav4. I really thought they made a quality product but this car isn't even close. There's nothing quality about it and it's really awesome that the tailgate is deciding to act up again with a due in December. It's going in for service Friday so we'll see what they say about it.

So we will find out which car gets fixed first... soon enough

The M3 needs to go in too but not for anything urgent. The break in service was done back in April but the maintenance reminder is on for the annual December service since I bought it in December. Inspection and emissions are due for December so I'll probably have it all done at once.

There's no yearly service on the iX? If I had a B58 there is no break in so first service would be the usual 10k/annual.

I saw you have an oil leak from the motor mount which is hilarious on an EV but I don't think this will be lemon worthy.

Haven't checked yet. Probably going to swap ramz this weekend even though the weather is still unseasonably warm. I'd rather swap them now and not freeze my off. I've pushed wheel swaps out to thanksgiving before but I don't think I'll do it this time.

Rage4 dropped off today and the power tailgate did not work when I showed the service advisor.

Hinges looked fine so I wonder if it's the motors in the struts? No warning lights on the dash

Found out today that the silver window controls and door handle surround seems to be a $300 or $500 option at least on the I4. I wonder if that's consistent across all models and an explanation as to why some have it and some don't.

BMW has been doing weird stuff across the lineups. They keep adding and removing features. For ex they removed the air suspension being standard on the IX. And they added and removed the memory buttons for the seats.

Galvanic wasn't an option until 2025 though. For 2023 and 2024 models it seems random as to which cars go it.

Here's a brand new $100k+ xdrive comp without it.



And here's a used 2022 comp with that silver piece but no silver buttons because galvanic wasn't available.

BMW has been doing a lot of weird stuff. They've gotten so cheap they cut out the M3 competition branding on the center console and door sills from 23-25.

Also, can't find anything wrong with the hatch on the Rage4. In the video he thinks its a lock/unlock issue where the trunk won't open if all the doors aren't unlocked. This just started happening again in the last month or so.

I shouldn't have turned the door on and off this morning. Now it's going to need another trip to the diller.
