Yeah the passenger seat position is flat out strange in the accord. Tons of complaints online about the seat being super low.
Does Honda still do that weird cost cutting where the passenger seat has no height adjustment. It annoyed the hell out of me in the Tsx ironically that one was too tall
Yes that’s the complaint. Across every trim. There’s two remedies that I’ve found. 1) find a manual height adjustment driver seat from a RHD area. 2) install spacer blocks under the seat rails

I’ll probably do #2 for both seats. Because the driver seat doesn’t go up very far either.

Is your woman smaller than 5'? Or is the accord made for 7' giants?

The passenger seat is made for 5 year olds who legally can't sit in it.

BTW JP, is there a way to use cruise control without the radar BS?

There is on my CRV. Haven’t tried the accord but in the CRV you just adjust the follow distance until all the icons go away.

Also. Yeah the bottom of the seat isn’t very deep. But it’s deeper than my WRX was and the mazda cx5. I dunno I finally found a comfy spot in the car. Took oddly long to find.

I'll test it tomorrow thank you. I fucking hate when it slams on the brakes mid lane change if someone moves in front of me.

My mom's Subaru does the same thing.

One thing i'll say with the Accord is they really toned down the false alarms with this latest gen. It hasn't slammed the brakes on me. It has flashed a warning once or twice but hasn't hit the E-stop. Which is nice because its really unsettling when that happens in the CRV.

Yeah it only happens to me in the lane change scenario, but then you look like the biggest idiot slowing down when you're already in the next lane.

This has never happened to me in my multiple safety feature equipped cars. Does Honda not know how to properly set that system? So weird

The car hit the brakes on me today when I was in the left lane, left hand turn, and slower cars in the right lane. It was repeatable.

In other news the ride and noise level are fucking great TBH. It gets about 34mpg at 85mph too.

In general, no, honda has no clue how to program electronics.
They're excellent at chassis tuning / handling, and pretty solid with their motors though.

Really? I feel like it’s a constant. I hate radar cruise, it’s so stressful managing it at highway speeds and dangerous when it brakes in dumb situations. Now, for traffic like 0-50 MPH up and down it’s very nice.

Radar cruise also doesn't get close enough to the car Infront to make them consider moving over. It's only beneficial in Single lane work zones etc like Dan said.

Yours isn't adjustable?

Following distance is adjustable in the wife's H to something between like 1 and 4 car lengths.

The closest distance is like 150-200ft at highway speeds. That's not close enough to make someone pull over.

I'm also talking cruise set at 85mph cus I don't fuck around on this route.

:dat:

It’s adjustable but can’t really get close enough typically. I’ve driven Mazda, Hyundai, Honda, Toyota, Audi, Ferd… I dunno, none of them are really great.
