So how long will you be laid up and when do you begin PT (I assume you'll have to do PT)?

A lot of nerves in there got their jimmies rustled no doubt so thus the pain. It'll settle down before long. Now stop with the Henry VIII diet plan.

So many things can cause gout I still haven’t nailed it down. Some workout supplements cause it so its not just beef and mead. I now have colcichine to zap even the faintest flareup but too much of that causes the runs. All super fun.

Dang dude. Hope you heal up quick. Being laid up in bed after surgery sounds terrible.

Curious which supplements seemed to cause your flare ups?

Got an MRI on my right knee on Thursday. Hope results come soon. Haven’t been able to train that quad in about two months now and I can see some size lost :(

#hurtsquad I had a major “tennis elbow” from doing too many dumbbells curls with 55#s now I’m going to have to be a bitch and start low…

Not fun. I dealt with that myself last year. Those Velcro straps help a bit..

Colchicine is a legit antiinflammatory. I was on it for a couple of months after my heart surgery to prevent pericarditis, which is no bueno.

For a while there the morning brotein shake had creatine, leucine, and HMB in it and I generally think anything ending in ine is highly gout suspect. I'm gonna lose some muscle this month no doubt about it. Gotta pull back on the calorie intake to avoid the double fuck up of gaining fat as well.

Got it. That’s a bummer.

I’m going to be pulling back too once the baby gets here. I’ll drop all my carbs and do a mini cut until I can get back into the gym.

I think I have db curls on the menu tonight. I’ve been adding in extra bicep work while I can’t train my leg, so after tonight’s main bicep movement in my program I’ll do 2-3 sets of some seated db curls.

:lolgasm: I actually ran out of time at the gym this morning and had to take curls off the menu. I guess I could bust out the 20s I have here in my office for some sets.

I ride the Peloton bike 5 mornings a week. For the last 2 months, I've added a 10 min "upper body with light weights" workout at the end of each ride. High reps with low weights (I use 5lbs) targeting all upper body zones. The results have been legit :notbad: for the level of effort. Not :massles: but :impressive: tone and definition so far.

She got a :tits: reduction at the beginning of the year and turned into a bitch. I used to ride with her a lot.

I mostly ride with Alex, I like his style and hip hop music is motivating to me.

I also ride with Dennis, Emma (before she got knocked up), sometimes Ben.
