Agreed. I also hate that the MK7 tank shrunk by a bit over a gallon.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2024 4:53 pmThat's dumb. Gas tanks these days are by and large just too damn small.

Yeah the owner’s manual says 13.2 and my first full fill up I put 12.419g in it, so I think that’s accurate.
Driven 120something miles this week and still showing 3/4 of a tank which is I’ll probably fill up again next weekend, even though I should drive way less next week with Michelle being back in town and me not needing to run a bunch of errands in the Mini. Using Fuelly to track mileage, so I’ll report back on what my actual empeegees are.

Just fyi my mini would show a full tank for 100 miles and then the next 100 would go down to 1/4 tank.SAWCE wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2024 10:11 amYeah the owner’s manual says 13.2 and my first full fill up I put 12.419g in it, so I think that’s accurate.

will keep an eye on that for sure! Thanks for the heads up. Mine seems to be dropping steadily as I drive, but some quick napkin math shows ~36mpg, which seems high and is 8 higher than than the 28mpg the onboard calculator is showing.max225 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2024 10:13 amJust fyi my mini would show a full tank for 100 miles and then the next 100 would go down to 1/4 tank.SAWCE wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2024 10:11 am

First gen supercharged ones did a bit worse than second gen direct injected turbos on mpg but it should in and around 30. Unless you go 55 in the slow lane

I’ve only been on the freeway once other than the drive home from Bremerton all my driving now is just putzing around town. It’s fun to get on the throttle here and there on some of the back road twisties, but I have generally been driving fairly conservatively.
A friend of mine actually shared another account claiming it’s
Pretty weird choice for a billionaire though, like at least get a C7?

why the article said it's probably an auto because he's 81. He's been a car guy ever since he started making bank 60+ years ago and can certainly drive a . He's also known to be fairly frugal, lives in a small farm house in Scotland instead of a giant mansion, etc, so he probably bought it new and I can see him hanging on to his for years.

Funny thing is, one of my ex bosses drives a prius, she is a single mother who dates left and right, bitchess about how men are all the same, takes last minute vacations etc. I did one time piss her off, cause I requested off for 3 days to be with my friends along with their mine included as one of them going away to move to Cali. Instead of Friday-Sunday, I had to do Fri-Sat (I was working on evening at the hotel). I was planning to come back saturday night, but it was dark, I was tired, a little buzzed. So I called another manager on duty that I could not come with food poisoning, I was scheduled in the Sunday morning too . When I came back, I overheard her bitch to her friends cause she was gonna call out but I called out before she didJ-Ho-Fo-Show69 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 4:25 pmI get in a lot of Prius Ubers for some reason. Charlotte is infested with them. They’re the worst car I could have ever imagined. A soul sucking brick for soul sucking people. I can always tell when someone I meet drives a Prius. Asking me to pick between a Prius and a new badge Toyota (what I call teslas to Tesla drivers, they hate it!!) is like picking between death and castration.
To add, Tesla drivers aren’t car people, they’re tech and computer people. They could give fuck all about performance and care about tech, status, and that it’s “saving the environment”
If you wanna save the environment, drive used! We don’t need more cars in the landfill.
Or ride a bike like Dan said! If we spent half as much on transit and bikability in Charlotte as we do for city council to have $10k dinners and have dopes running our fucking city, we would have some damn fine mobility. I was riding my bike today in a 25 mph speed limit, doing 27! Passed within inches cause some fat fuck Karen POS feels the need to drive 1/3 mile to the Harris teeter in her fuckin Yukon.
Rant over, pissed off today.
I also just got back from a Cali trip and rented a m440i, moderately hit the gas off the lights and as I was approaching the next light, the breh in a new prius had to prove he has to pass me and press brakes hard so he can stop at the light, when I was already maybe going 20 mph.
One of my friends (mutual friend) whose a techbro loves his model 3. One time posted a story driving from DC to Charleston SC where he said he charged it 20 times, I laughed. He wasn't surprisingly.

My accord is embarresingly small. At one point, my dad was with me and I was filling up the car, he noticed it only filled 11.500 gallons, he was

Just odd to me... An auto C5 'vert is a shit tier car. I loved my C5 but 100% because of the 'performance for money'. If you have money, at least get like... a good Corvette? Also, auto C5s are quite slow, my 86 could possibly dust it to 60, your GTI 100% could.wap wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2024 9:50 pmwhy the article said it's probably an auto because he's 81. I mean good on him if he doesn't care, but it is a weird ass choice for a billionaire. It has huge appeal for a 25 year old making $50K/year, hence my ownershit
